The 2020 US presidential election is being considered one of the most important elections of all of our lifetimes, and will likely have the highest voter turnout in history. Regular people, along with tons of celebrities, are doing their best to encourage as many people as possible to get out and vote.

But due to the global health crisis, this year's election looks quite a bit different than in the past. Many polling places will be closed for in-person voting on Tuesday, November 3, so most American citizens are voting early (or have already) either by mail or by dropping off their ballots at an official drop box. Like so many of us, celebs are proud to show off the fact that they've exercised their right to vote with a selfie on Instagram or Twitter, but of course, they have far more influence than the average citizen. That means that celebrities literally have the power to encourage thousands of people to do the same. Here are 15 celebrities who have already voted and encourage you to as well:
Demi Lovato voted in person.
Singer and activist Demi Lovato who recently released a scathing letter to President Donald Trump in the form of her song "Commander in Chief," donned a mask emblazoned with the word "vote" to visit her local polling station to vote early. "I'm so grateful to have been able to vote because it wasn't too long ago women didn't even have those rights," she captioned her Instagram post.
Satcha Pretto voted for the first time.
Emmy-award-winning television journalist Satcha Pretto wasn't an American citizen in time to vote during the 2016 election, so she showed up with pride to vote this year. Satcha stood in line excitedly to vote in a US election for the first time earlier this week.
Kerry Washington would never not vote.
Scandal star Kerry Washington has been actively campaigning for presidential candidate Joe Bide and vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris for months and was excited to let fans know when she was actually able to drop her ballot off, with her canine sidekick in tow.
Maity Interiano got a sticker.
Award-winning Univision reporter and producer Maity Interiano showed up to her polling place for early voting about a week before the Election Day deadline. Maity has been reporting on topics related to the election for weeks, so it must have felt good to finally get out there and vote herself.
Jessica Alba voted with her husband Cash Warren.
Actress and businesswoman Jessica Alba has also been incredibly vocal about the importance of the upcoming election over the past couple of months. She rocked the vote with her husband by her side. "We believe in fairness, equality, and treating people with dignity. We are black and brown entrepreneurs. We are proud Americans," she captioned her Instagram post.
Pamela Silva voted.
Six time Emmy-winner journalist and Peruvian-American, Pamela Silva, shared her voting selfie with a simple call to action: "please vote." She tagged Univision's Unicontigo account, which is dedicated to informing Latinos and urging them to vote.
Lady Gaga made voting entertaining.
In true Gaga fashion, Lady Gaga dropped her ballot off at an official drop-off location and turned it into a mini music video. She got out of her luxury car wearing a mask and glittery platform boots and set the video of herself dropping her ballot in the box to music.
Luis Fonsi has many reasons to vote.
Puerto Rican superstar musician Luis Fonsi made sure to vote because he knows the impact it can have. "Por mis hijos, por mi bella isla (que no esta a la venta), por el respeto a los latinos, por más igualdad y menos odio, por tantas cosas más… VOTEN," he wrote on Instagram.
Madonna voted because it's her responsibility.
Iconic entertainer Madonna dyed her hair pink and went out to vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. "Get out there and take responsibility people!!" she wrote on Instagram. We all know the singer has no filter and has been vocal about her support of the Democratic nominees.
Camila Cabello boomeranged her ballot drop off.
Latina singer Camila Cabello dropped off her completed ballot at an official collection box a couple of weeks ago and shared a Boomerang video on Instagram along with a caption urging others to drop their ballots off before the deadline.
Taylor Zakhar Perez from 'The Kissing Booth' got creative with his vote.
Breakout star of The Kissing Booth 2, Taylor Zahkar Perez also dropped his ballot off at an official collection booth a couple of weeks ago and gave his followers a few creative suggestions on how to deposit their own ballots. "I did it! You can do it! We ALL should do it!," he wrote on Instagram.
Tracee Ellis Ross took the #VotingSquad challenge.
Black-ish actress Tracee Ellis Ross took part in the #VotingSquad challenge promoted by former first lady Michelle Obama to encourage people to make sure their vote is counted by voting early. Then she nominated celebs including Jennifer Aniston and Dwyane Wade to do the same.
Mariah Carey followed through with the challenge as well.
Mega-star songstress Mariah Carey was also nominated for the #VotingSquad challenge and pledged to vote in the 2020 election along with a group of her dancers. She followed through earlier this week by casting her ballot ahead of the November 3 deadline.
Will Ferrell voted by mail.
Comedian Will Ferrell joined the #runwaytothepolls and masked up for a stroll to the post office with his pooch to drop off his completed ballot more than two weeks before Election Day. Technically the idea of this challenge is for people to dress to the nines to drop off their ballots, and being a funny man, Will wore sweats, a ball cap, and sneakers, but that made it an even better way to get some attention.
Marc Anthony made it happen.
Salsero and native New Yorker Marc Anthony filled out his ballot at home and mailed it in at the end of October. Remember, in most states, mail-in ballots just need to be postmarked by November 3, so it's not too late! Like Marc said, "when WE vote, things CHANGE."
