In response to her husband's accusation, Cardi took to Twitter Space with a 3-minute message that started with a verse from Keyshia Cole's "I Should Have Cheated,"according to People.

"First of all, let me say, you can't accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of," she sang. "Sing it with me, y'all! And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!"

Cardi continued: "Listen, don't pay attention to that country man. That motherf—er spiraling and thinking s—."

Cardi argued that if she did cheat, the word would be out immediately.

In her message, Cardi also pointed out that her level of fame would make it nearly impossible to cheat, even if she wanted to. “Come on, y’all. I'm f—ing Cardi B n—-. I think sometimes motherf—ers forget I'm Cardi B," she said. "If I was giving this p—- to anybody, it would be out. I'm not just anybody."

Two wrongs don't make a right, but the reason many folks are OK with the idea of Cardi B cheating (even though she insists she didn't) is because Offset has been unfaithful to her in the past on multiple occasions.

Cardi later addressed Offset's infidelity during a January 2020 cover story for Vogue. “When me and my husband got into our issues—you know, he cheated and everything—and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me,” she told the publication.

She added: "People that be in marriages for years, when they say till death do us part, they not talking about little arguments like if you leave the fridge open. That’s including everything.”
