"It is a dream come true to officially join the Playboy family," said the "WAP" rapper, who recently hosted the American Music Awards for the first time and gave birth to her second child with fellow rapper Offset.

Cardi happily made the announcement on Instagram.

"Introducing the FIRST EVER Creative Director In Residence at the legendary @playboy, it's ME!!! Joining the @playboy family is a dream and I know yall are going to love what we put together," Cardi wrote on Instagram on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

She announced Centerfold simultaneously.

Centerfold is being described as a social content platform that will allow creators to interact with fans. "Creators today deserve to express themselves freely and unfiltered. They deserve to feel safe in their creativity and sexuality. And they deserve to own their future. This is what CENTERFOLD is all about," Cardi said in a statement.

Her new role encompasses a lot.

"Cardi will provide artistic direction across co-branded fashion and sexual wellness merchandise collections, digital editorial, experiential activations and more," Playboy said in a statement.

This is a huge accomplishment for the rapper.

"It's truly the original platform for uncensored creativity and I'm inspired by its incredible legacy of fighting for personal freedoms. I have so many ideas already — I can't wait!" Cardi said, according to People. And she's already gotten to work. The morning after the announcement was made, Cardi posted a video on Instagram of herself riding on the Playboy jet and already engaging fans and followers.

And Playboy has found its perfect partner.
