His latest project is a movie titled Air, which follows the business partnership between Nike and Michael Jordan. Interestingly, Ben experienced a viral moment related to the film.

In a recent interview promoting Air, Ben surprised and impressed fans when he answered complex questions in fluent Spanish. Many folks weren’t aware that he spoke the language at all. But some have ventured to say that his mastery of the language is better than that of his wife, Jennifer Lopez. A clip of Ben promoting Air has been making the rounds on social media — not necessarily for what he said but for the fact that he was speaking Spanish fluently. “What’s important to understand is that this isn’t about Michael Jordan’s story; he doesn’t even appear in the movie,” he told the Spain-based radio station Cadena SER.
Ben went on to say the NBA superstar is "so big, so important, so magnificent that there’s not an actor in the world who could be cast to play him whom the audience would believe.”
He explained, “They would immediately think, ‘This is all bulls–t. This movie is bulls–t. I don’t believe any of this,' And they would destroy it completely.”
Ben previously opened up with Kelly Clarkson about how he learned the language.
In a 2020 interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly asked Ben if it was true that he could speak Spanish. The actor confirmed that he could "passively" speak the language—although we now know he was just being modest.
Kelly commented that she had tried to learn Spanish but she felt like unless you're immersed in the language, it's difficult to do as an adult.
"That's the best way to learn, for sure," Ben told her. "I mean, I did this little kids TV series when I was young, and when I was 13, that season, that year was in Mexico. So I was in Mexico for a year, and that's how I picked it up."
Fans are seriously impressed with Ben's Spanish fluency.
Although J.Lo is Puerto Rican and speaks Spanish, many fans weren't aware how well Ben spoke the language. Plenty of folks took to social media and comments sections to share their reactions.
One Instagram user wrote, "What a surprise!! I didn't know you spoke Spanish so well. I have already read in the comments who is the merit of his Mexican caretaker."
Another person commented, "You speak Spanish well, boy, I didn't know that!!! Now you are even more handsome!!!!!"
Yet another Instagram user declared, "How cool it is to listen to it in Spanish!!"
