As you may know, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were married in 2005 and their divorce was finalized in 2018. During their time together, they became parents to three children: Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel. Even though romantically things between Ben and Jen G. did not work out—Ben is now married to Jennifer Lopez—they still remain close and affectionate even. So much so that they were recently spotted sharing some PDA in Ben’s car.

Don’t worry, it’s not scandalous or anything. There was no lip-locking going on. Instead, there was affection and camaraderie, which is wonderful given that they are committed to co-parenting. It’s beautiful to see that exes can get past all the hurt and find a way to continue to be family. Check out the sweetness caught on camera between Ben and Jen G., plus some farmers market sweetness between Ben and his wife Jennifer Lopez that was also caught on camera.
This all went down in Los Angeles.
What appears to have happened is that Ben was sitting in his car with his daughter Seraphina in the passenger’s seat, when Jen G. sauntered over to say hello. Instead of standing outside the car to chat, she sat in the back seat.
At some point, she reached around to give Ben a hug.
In a super cute moment, a smiling Jen G. hugs Ben from behind. They are both smiling and he leans back into the hug and closes his eyes. Both seem genuinely happy to be in each other’s company.
Way to co-parent!
It’s so beautiful that their children get to see them model affection even after divorce. So much better than children who witness their parents split and never get to a good place after their split.
For those of you worrying about what this means for Jennifer Lopez, don’t.
Probably nothing. J.Lo co-parents twins Emme and Max with her ex, Marc Anthony, so it’s not like she doesn’t get that it’s important to get along after divorce, if you want your children to be comfortable around both parents.
And the original Bennifer are also affectionate in public.
This weekend, on Sunday, Bennifer 2.0 went to a flea market together and had no issue wrapping their arms around each other and displaying tons of PDA. Jen even had her hand on Ben’s pompis at one point.
