It's been a wild ride for Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson. Fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians have been a part of Khloé's love life for more than a decade. Her relationship with the NBA star grabbed plenty of headlines when they started dating in 2016. The couple seemed so in love at first, and many who have witnessed the Good American cofounder's roller-coaster love life hoped that Tristan would do right by Khloé. When they got together, things between them moved fast, and the reality star moved to Cleveland, Ohio, to live with him when he was playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In September 2017, rumors began circulating that Khloé was pregnant with her first child. Tristan was already a dad to son Prince, whose mom, Jordan Craig, was pregnant when Tristan started dating Khloé.
Right before Khloé gave birth in April 2018, it was revealed that he had cheated on her on numerous occasions, and things got incredibly complicated, but somehow they managed to stay together. Then in February 2019, the couple split because he allegedly cheated with Kylie Jenner's former best friend, Jordyn Woods. Ouch! There seemed to be no coming back from that, but then the world turned upside down in 2020, and the couple found their way back to each other, thanks to spending a lot of time sheltering in place together.

Tristan and Khloé started dating after they met on a blind date.

Khloé revealed on her reality show that she met him thanks to her friend, Brandon Jennings, who set them up on a surprise date. “I was at the Bel-Air hotel. [Tristan] came to the dinner because I didn’t want to go on a blind date, so Brandon kind of ambushed the blind date," she said at the time. “So, I had a bunch of people and he brought him and we just connected.”
Khloé invited Tristan and his friends to a Kanye West concert in Miami.

The pair looked so in love celebrating the basketball star's birthday in March 2017. She shared this photo on Instagram and captioned it: "To the happiest of birthdays my love! The couple headed to Jamaica together for vacation.
In February 2017, Khloé visited Jamaica, where her man's family is from. While he was born in Toronto, Canada, his family hails from Jamaica. The had fun in the sun and frolicked on the beach.
Tristan threw Khloé a surprise birthday party in June 2017.
She posted this throwback from the day of the party in November 2017, and recalled how well he kept the secret. "FBF to one of my favorite days with all of my favorite people… my surprise party man, everyone was sooooo good at keeping that secret!" she captioned it. "Hrush, Jen and Tristan were so calm, cool and collected during glam I need to watch you sneaks lol That was such an epic night!"
The pair had another successful Halloween couple costume.
In October 2017, the pair dressed up as Game of Thrones characters Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo for a Halloween party and they looked so good. There were rumors circulating that she was pregnant around this time, but she still wore the midriff-baring outfit.
Khloé and Tristan announced that they were expecting a baby!
Khloé announced in December 2017 that she was expecting her first child with Tristan after months of speculation. She shared a gorgeous baby bump photo on Instagram and said she kept the pregnancy under wraps to enjoy the happy moment privately. "My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient. I still at times can't believe that our love created life!" she captioned the snap. "Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Khloé revealed she was having a girl!
During a March 2018 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloé found out that she was pregnant with a girl. That's also how she announced the news to the world. But in the clip with Kylie Jenner on the phone, Khloé didn't seem too pleased with the news because she was sure she was having a boy.
Just days before Khloé gave birth, news broke that Tristan was being unfaithful.
News broke in April 2018 that Tristan had been cheating on Khloé with multiple women throughout their relationship. The weekend before she gave birth, Khloé was in Cleveland and her beau was spotted in New York City kissing a girl at a club. He was also spotted entering his hotel room with model Lani Blair.
TMZ then released a video of the NBA star getting cozy with other women.
The online outlet released a clip of Tristan at a hookah lounge from October 2017, when Khloé was three months pregnant. In the video, he is seen hanging out and making out with multiple women.
Khloé still chose to have Tristan in the delivery room.
Months after True was born, Khloé opened up about her decision to have Tristan in the delivery room during the baby's birth after the news of the cheating broke. "I wanted to have a beautiful birthing experience for myself and for the memories of what I choose to share with True when she’s older," she tweeted in November. Khloé invited Tristan over so that he could see his daughter and they would see each other for the first time since the Jordyn Woods scandal happened. Khloé wanted to get over the initial awkwardness in private, before the baby's birthday party but she said Tristan took it too far. While he was visiting, she said he asked her for a hug and even attempted to kiss her, which she said she turned down.

In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloé showed her former brother-in-law Scott Disick a pink diamond ring that she had received from Tristan. Scott can be seen saying, "It looks fully like an engagement ring."

Even though they were said to be broken up, Tristan's Instagram behavior was rather strange toward Khloé. After their split in April, he constantly liked her photos and left flirty comments under her selfies. Even though they had been broken up and apart for quite some time, when it came time to stay home and practice social distancing in 2020, they decided to do it together. "Tristan and I needed that time to heal and I needed time to go through my emotions. But now he's literally one of my best friends," Khloé told People in July 2020. "A lot of that has been because of quarantine. We spend a lot of time together with no distractions, and seeing him as a dad and how helpful he is, I'm so grateful," she said.

Oh, and even before Khloé's birthday, Tristan made a public declaration.
He posted on Instagram that he is "wise enough now to know" that Khloé came into his life to show him "just what it means to be an incredible person." He gushed on and on about her and said that he and True love her. It's really sweet, actually, that he has no qualms about publicly expressing his admiration for Khloé, especially after all they've been through.
All signs pointed to Khloé and Tristan being back together.
The Kardashian-Jenners threw Kim Kardashian a surprise party in honor of her 40th birthday. We know because it was all documented on an episode of KUWTK that aired on October 21, 2020. Anyway, even though it's unclear when exactly that surprise party took place, Khloé and Tristan were there acting all lovey-dovey in public. "They are together and very happy," a source told E!. "She's very happy that he's around and that things have been going as well as they have."
The drama associated with being with Tristan never seems to stop.
A woman named Kimberly Alexander alleged that Tristan fathered her baby. Keep in mind that this baby, which DNA tests say isn't Tristan's, would have been conceived when Tristan and Khloé were not together. All that aside, Kimberly started going after Khloé and faking DMs between them. It got to the point that Khloé filed a cease and desist against the woman.
They celebrated Father's Day in 2021 as a family.
"Tristan is back in LA to celebrate Father's Day with Khloé and True," a source told People. "He spent a lot of time away from LA during the basketball season." The source also said that Khloé was happy to "have him back." Apparently, that happiness did not last long.
They seem to have called it quits right after Father's Day 2021.
Father's Day was on June 20 and on June 21 E! News reported that Khloé and Tristan were no longer a couple. "Khloe is extremely disappointed in how things have played out with Tristan," a source told the outlet. "She has spent so much time and energy on their relationship and was hopeful for the future. To see that Tristan hasn't changed at all after all of this is truly heartbreaking." Whether they stay broken up or get back together, they will always be in each other's lives because they are both committed to their daughter True.
But then, in October 2021, they got back together.
"We're good. We're actually in a really good place," Khloé said on her family’s new Hulu show The Kardashians. "We just got back together. He's been going to therapy a lot. There's just been a lot of effort on his part." Ugh! Those words came back to haunt her, we're sure.
Tristan's drama just keeps going on and on, though.
Fitness model Maralee Nichol filed a paternity suit against Tristan. According to her, she and Tristan conceived a baby in April 2021. Hmm, he was still dating Khloé in April of 2021. He reportedly tried to bribe Maralee to drop the lawsuit and was all kinds of shady. He even filed a countersuit. But it turns out he is the father of Maralee's baby. The baby was born on December 1.
Tristan issued an apology after the paternity test results.
On Monday, January 4, 2022, Tristan issued a statement via his Instagram stories. "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions," he wrote. Thank goodness for paternity tests or this son of a gun might have gone to his grave denying that this child is his.
Tristan also apologized to Khloé.
Tristan also felt the need to publicly apologize to Khloé. "Khloe, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you," he wrote on his Instagram stories. "You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you," he added. Khloé was seemingly done with the romance part of their relationship and only wanted to focus on co-parenting their daughter, True.
In July 2022, news broke that Khloé and Tristan were expecting their second child together.
Here's the thing: The baby was conceived in November 2021 by a surrogate, while Khloé and Tristan were together and she had yet to find out about the child he'd fathered with Maralee Nichols. Khloé was blindsided by the news and, once again, dumped Tristan.

The man knew about Maralee's pregnancy and didn't say a word to Khloé about it. Nope, instead he went along with the whole surrogacy process as if it would never come out that he had cheated again.
On July 28, Khloé and Tristan's second child together was born via surrogate.
“I am so grateful. It’s such a beautiful gift that we’re able to have,” Khloé said during on an episode of the second season of The Kardashians on Hulu. Tristan wasn't there for the birth of the baby, but Khloé found it in her heart to invite him shortly afterward to meet their son.
Where do things stand between Khloé and Tristan now?
They don't speak to each other unless it has to do with co-parenting. According to a source who spoke to E! News, the two don't say a peep to each other unless it has to do with "coordinating for the kids." Good! That man has hurt Khloé way too much.
