Lorenzo followed suit and shared this photo of himself from their wedding day, saying his heart will always choose Chiquis. "What a year of growth, maturity, ups and downs… life is not perfect but your will is," he captioned the post on what would have been the couple's anniversary. "Love is the greatest gift. Though we are at a pause, my heart will forever keep beating for you and will always keep choosing you as it did a year ago."

Lorenzo was spotted outside their home with his suitcases, while speculation circled on social media saying that he had been unfaithful. Chiquis denied the cheating rumors but did confirm they were taking time apart.
The couple went through a worldwide health crisis together.

They threw a massive Christmas party in 2019.

The couple faced some controversy after members of the media were shoved and pushed by their security team, and Chiquis and Lorenzo had to address the situation on Instagram just days after their wedding.

Chiquis and Lorenzo's loved ones threw them a joint bachelor and bachelorette party in Mexico in May 2019. Reports that a wedding was quickly approaching began to surface after photos of the couple celebrating their upcoming nuptials with their families popped up on social media.
Lorenzo confirmed that a wedding date has been set.
“We already have a date in mind,” the singer told Suelta La Sopa last month and the event will be huge.
Chiquis has had a vision for what she wants the big day to look like for a while.
She wants a Mexican theme and the venue she wants is the perfect fit. “I want it at a ranch,” she told Mezcal TV. "I want [Lorenzo] to dress like a mariachi, colorful flowers. I want a body-hugging dress,” she said. “As you can see, I have thought about this event a lot."
In October 2018, they seemed to be more in love than ever and ready to tie the knot.

Lorenzo’s partying ways were to blame for this separation. "I'm not much of a party girl, I go and do my job and then I just go to my room and I just want to go to sleep or read a book," Chiquis told El Gordo y la Flaca in May. "And Lorenzo is not like that. And he's the first to admit that he loves to party. So it's hard because when you are in this industry, you tend to like those things."
Lorenzo proposed to Chiquis in front of all of her closest friends and family members.
The engagement was captured on The Riveras and the episode aired in April 2018. “Since our first date I knew you were the one,” Lorenzo wrote on Instagram.
Chiquis got dragged into a bitter feud with Lorenzo’s ex-wife, Claudia Galván, that same month.
Claudia actually liked Chiquis until she started publicly defending Lorenzo’s parenting. Their beef got so bad that Chiquis’ legal team sent Claudia a cease and desist letter to get her to stop making defamatory statements about their client.
Claudia went on a media tour to drag Lorenzo after she felt like he played her.
Claudia told Suelta la Sopa that she felt like she was on the road to reconciliation with Lorenzo at the beginning of 2018 while he was on a break with Chiquis. That all changed when she saw Chiquis and Lorenzo on stage together in March. A furious Claudia called Lorenzo a deadbeat dad who was more worried about chasing after Chiquis than spending time with his kids.
Chiquis seems to have Lorenzo’s back no matter what.
Chiquis and Lorenzo were not together during the time Claudia was attacking Lorenzo, but she still stuck up for him in public.
Chiquis was confused about their relationship status just a month before.
"How are things going with Lorenzo?" she was asked on Al Rojo Vivo while doing promo for The Riveras in March. "Complicated," Chiquis said. "He’s a guy that I have a lot of love for. In this moment if you ask me I don’t have anything good or bad to say. I would rather remain quiet but you’ll see him on the show."
Lorenzo gave an interview saying that he had already popped in February.
He shared the big news during an interview with Al Rojo Vivo. "My family loves her and I think her family also likes me. It's a beautiful moment in our lives,” he said. Fast forward two weeks later when Chiquis gave her statements, and now we’re even more confused than she was at that time about their relationship timeline.
Things seemed to be peachy around Valentine’s Day 2018.
