
It's been quite a while since the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct allegation news first made headlines. Since then, a reckoning of sorts has taken place in Hollywood and in the worlds of entertainment, government, and business, with many men (and some women) being accused of inappropriate behavior. Recently, three women have come forward and accused actor Chris Noth of sexual assault. The accusations come shortly after the actor reprised his role as John James "Mr. Big" Preston on And Just Like That, the Sex and the City revival that premiered on HBO December 9, 2021.

There have been plenty of celebrities who have been caught up in the allegations, and it's always just heartbreaking. However, not all of the cases have proven to be true. Having said that, it is still important to take every claim of sexual abuse seriously. Here are some of the celebrities who have been accused of sexual misconduct.
Chris Noth has denied the claims made by three women.

On December 16, 2021, The Hollywood Reporter published a story sharing allegations made by two women accusing Chris Noth of sexual misconduct. The women approached the publication separately regarding incidents that took place over a decade apart. Since then, a third woman has come forth with sexual assault allegations against the Sex and the City actor. "Chris Noth will no longer film additional episodes of The Equalizer, effective immediately," Universal Television and CBS said in a joint statement shortly after the allegations were shared. For his part, Chris Noth denied the allegations with the following statement:
"The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could've been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago—no always means no—that is a line I did not cross."
Marilyn Manson has denied the multiple accusations made against him.

On February 1, 2021, Evan Rachel Wood named Marilyn Manson as her abuser in an Instagram post. Then in May, Game of Thrones actor Esmé Bianco sued the musician in federal court for sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. In November, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Eva Jimenez said a search warrant was served on the home of Brian Hugh Warner, which is Marilyn Manson's legal name.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women.
In August 2021, a months-long investigation by the New York State Attorney General's Office concluded that Governor Andrew Cuomo "engaged in conduct constituting sexual harassment under federal and New York State law." Governor Cuomo reportedly sexually harassed at least 11 women, some of whom were state employees, including a New York state trooper. Many called for his resignation, and on August 10, Cuomo announced that he would be resigning in two weeks. He officially resigned on August 23, 2021.
James Franco has been blacklisted after sexual misconduct claims came out against him.
Once beloved actor James Franco was accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior by at least five women beginning back in 2018. He's since basically been blacklisted in Hollywood, including by former best friend and business partner Seth Rogen. Most of the charges were from his former acting students, and in June 2021, he agreed to pay $2.2 million to settle a related lawsuit against him, although he's never publicly admitted to wrongdoing.
Justin Bieber had to deny allegations that surfaced on Twitter.

Justin Bieber denied an allegation of rape made on Twitter by an anonymous account. Two accounts tweeted claims about incidents alleged to have happened with the singer in 2014 and 2015, at hotel rooms after his shows and appearances. The account of one anonymous accuser was removed from Twitter, but the singer responded to it, saying, "There is no truth to this story." He provided hotel receipts and proof of his stay at a different place, which he says refute the woman's claims.
"Every claim of sexual abuse should be taken very seriously and this is why my response was needed. However this story is factually impossible and that is why I will be working with twitter and authorities to take legal action," he tweeted, later even saying he was with his then girlfriend Selena Gomez at the time of the alleged incidents.
Danny Masterson was charged with raping three women.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that actor Danny Masterson was charged with raping three women between 2001 and 2003. The former That ’70s Show actor is accused of raping a woman in 2001, another woman in April 2003, and yet another woman at his Hollywood Hills home later that year. He was charged with three counts of rape and faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted.
Several women made some hefty accusations against comedian Chris D'Elia.
Chris D’Elia was accused of asking for nude photos from and engaging in other inappropriate behavior with underage girls. Several women came forward on social media with claims that the comedian had inappropriately pursued them over email and text, and they provided screenshots of their alleged encounters with him. Five women shared their experiences with the comedian with the Los Angeles Times, with one accusing him of exposing himself to her.
Chris denied the accusations of underage advances in a statement to TMZ. "I know I have said and done things that might have offended people during my career, but I have never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point," Chris began. "All of my relationships have been both legal and consensual and I have never met or exchanged any inappropriate photos with the people who have tweeted about me," he said. "That being said, I really am truly sorry. I was a dumb guy who ABSOLUTELY let myself get caught up in my lifestyle. That’s MY fault. I own it. I’ve been reflecting on this for some time now and I promise I will continue to do better."
A case has been reopened against Cristiano Ronaldo in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police have reopened a case from 2009 at the request of a woman named Kathryn Mayorga, who alleges that she was raped by the soccer player in a hotel room. They reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement in 2010 for an alleged $375,000 for her not to go public with her allegations. Cristiano has since denied the claims, and his lawyers vowed to sue the German publication that published the news and asked the court to dismiss the case.
William Levy was caught up in quite a scandal involving a minor in 2010.

The actor was accused of forcing a 17-year-old named Karla Álvarez to give him oral sex in a hotel room. The actor countersued for extortion and defamation, saying he was told she was 19 and that the girl and her mother asked him for money to not take the story to the press.
Benny Medina was accused of attempted rape.

In November 2017, Jennifer Lopez's manager was accused of attempting to rape actor Jason Dottley in 2008. The producer's lawyers have said he denies the allegations. There was also a case involving another man in 2004 that was dismissed due to the statute of limitations.
John Travolta has been hit with allegations in the past.

Two massage therapists sued the Grease star, accusing him of assault and sexual battery in May 2012. His lawyers denied the allegations at the time and said the stories were "complete fiction." Another masseur came forward in 2017 with similar allegations, but they could not be corroborated.
Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women.

Since November 2017, more than 70 women—including Salma Hayek, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Angelina Jolie—have accused the Hollywood executive of sexual assault or harassment. He continues to deny all allegations made against him. In May 2018, he turned himself into authorities for charges made against him by Lucia Evans, but he pleaded not guilty. In February 2020, after a trial involving assaults against two women, he was convicted of sexual assault and rape and sentenced to 23 years in prison.
After coming out with his own story of abuse, Junot Díaz was hit with sexual misconduct claims made against him.

The Dominican author was accused of sexual misconduct in May 2018 after he allegedly "forcibly kissed" a woman. Other women have also come forward with allegations that he verbally abused them.
Don Francisco was sued for sexual harassment.

In 1992, a model from Sábado Gigante sued Don Francisco for sexual harassment. The case was later settled out of court, though additional claims from other women later surfaced. A few years later, he returned to work at Univision.
A teenager claimed Aleks Syntek was behaving inappropriately toward him on Instagram.

A British 17-year-old boy who goes by the name Lemon Brick took to Instagram to display the inappropriate private messages he had been receiving from the Mexican singer. In the messages, Aleks referred to the teen as "cute" and "sexy."
Ryan Seacrest was accused of sexual harassment in the workplace.

A stylist for E! News named Suzie Hardy accused Ryan of inappropriate sexual behavior while on the set. The TV and radio personality has repeatedly denied the claims. His employer, E!, has remained loyal to him, saying there was "insufficient evidence" to support the claims.
Bill Cosby was sentenced to prison for sexual assault.

The Cosby Show star was sentenced to three to 10 years in a state prison for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. Prior to his conviction, the actor had been accused by dozens of women who came forward claiming he had assaulted them. Bill was released from prison in June 2021, his conviction having been overturned due to an agreement he had made with a different prosecutor earlier in his case.
Louis C.K. was accused of misconduct.

Five women accused the comedian of sexual misconduct, and in a statement he said, "These stories are true." He fessed up and stepped out of the limelight for a while, but as of 2021, he's once again touring comedy clubs.
A case against Nick Carter was denied by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

In a blog post in November 2017, fellow singer Melissa Schuman accused the Backstreet Boys member of raping her in the early 2000s. Nick denied the claims, and the LA County District Attorney's Office rejected the case, saying the 10-year statute of limitations had expired since the alleged incident took place in 2003.
Kevin Spacey sought treatment following several allegations made against him.
The House of Cards actor was hit with a wave of allegations against him, including sexual advances, harassment, and assault. He was fired from the Netflix show soon after. In 2021, one of his accusers refused to identify himself publicly, and the case is expected to be dismissed.
Ben Affleck was caught on video inappropriately touching a TV host.

Two women, including actress Hilarie Burton, publicly accused the actor of groping them or inappropriately touching them. There was even a video of him grabbing Hilarie's breast when she was hosting Total Request Live and Ben was a guest on the show. “I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologize,” the actor responded on Twitter.
Ben's brother, Casey Affleck, has also dealt with his own accusations.

The actor was accused by two women of inappropriate behavior on the set of I'm Still Here. He apologized for the behavior and said he had created an "unprofessional environment" on the set.
Donald Trump has been accused by at least 22 women.

These women have come forward with details about his sexual misconduct in the past. He has called them "false allegations." Now that his presidency has ended, his accusers are hopeful that he will be deposed under oath.
Asia Argento was accused of assaulting a minor.

In August 2018, musician Jimmy Bennett accused the actress of sexually assaulting him in 2013. The New York Times found court documents detailing that Asia had paid the child actor $380,000 following his claims. She previously had accused Harvey Weinstein of assault, which the executive's lawyer denied.
Eight women have claimed that Morgan Freeman behaved inappropriately on set.

Eight women came forward in a CNN report accusing the actor of sexual harassment. He apologized in a statement to anyone he made feel uncomfortable, saying that it was never his "intent" to do so.
Rob Lowe's nanny accused him of sexual misconduct.

In 2010, a nanny who took care of the actor's children claimed that he had sexually harassed and assaulted her. The family countersued her. "I love the children, I needed the job, and I always thought it would get better — and I was scared," the nanny told Today.
Mauricio Islas was accused of having sexual relations with a minor.

Mauricio had to turn himself into authorities for having a sexual relationship with actress Genesis Rodriguez, who was 17 years old at the time. Her father, singer El Puma, pressed charges, and the actor spent a few hours in jail and paid a $7,000 fine. He claims that the relationship he had with the actress was consensual.
R. Kelly is awaiting trial for sexual abuse.

The singer has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges against him from various women who are accusing him of sexual assault and abuse. A wave of allegations against him began to surface after the documentary Surviving R. Kelly debuted in January 2019.
Tony Robbins is being accused of misconduct.

The self-help guru is facing multiple allegations after a BuzzFeed News report chronicled stories from women who claim they've had inappropriate encounters with him. Four more women came forward in May 2019, saying that he had groped them, exposed himself to them, and made unwanted advances to them over the years. He has denied the claims.
Neymar published a video after being accused of rape.

The soccer star defended himself against claims from a woman who said she had been raped by him in a hotel in Paris. In a lengthy video on his social media accounts, Neymar addressed the situation after the woman filed a police report. The video was later deleted by the platforms because he shared nude images of the woman from their conversations. Neymar maintains that their sexual interactions were consensual. A video surfaced of one of their encounters, and it shows the woman hitting the soccer player repeatedly.
Mario Batali was charged with assault.

The celebrity chef was charged with assault over an alleged incident that took place in Boston in 2017. The TV personality pleaded not guilty in June 2019 and settled the suit in July 2021. A previous allegation in New York was dropped after it was determined that there was a lack of evidence and because of limits due to the statute of limitations.
Neil deGrasse Tyson has denied the claims made against him.

The astrophysicist returned to television after an investigation was launched by both Fox and National Geographic after multiple women came forward with allegations against him in 2018. He denied some of the claims, including one from a woman who said he raped her when they were in graduate school together.
