It's not easy to be in the middle of a cheating scandal. Hearts get broken, egos bruised, and families destroyed. But it has to sting way more when the whole world is watching. Just ask telenovela star Geraldine Bazán, who saw Gabriel Soto, her partner of 10 years, admit on national TV that he had been unfaithful. Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, and Christina Milian have all been betrayed by cheating men, too, and had no choice to but to deal with it in the public eye.

It's not just Latinas who get cheated on, or even women, for that matter. But the list of our celebrities that have either been cheated on or have been unfaithful themselves, is long and, in some cases, hard to believe. If anything, it proves that infidelity is never really about the victim's appearance or even their personality, but it's really about the insecurities and needs of the cheater. Take a look at these celebrity cheating stories and you'll see what we mean.
J.Lo and A-Rod split up just a few months after cheating rumors swirled.
In February 2021, reality TV star Madison LeCroy was accused of having some sort of illicit online/phone relationship with Alex Rodriguez while he was with J.Lo, by one of her Southern Charm co-stars. J-Rod brushed the rumors off at the time, but split up just a few months later, after four years together. And this wasn't the only time Alex has been accused of cheating. Playboy model Zoe Gregory claims that in 2019—while Alex and Jennifer were dating, he sent her "inappropriate text messages." Alex's fellow former MLB players also accused Alex of cheating with his wife, although she denies it.
Alex was known to be unfaithful in previous relationships, too. His ex-wife and the mother of his two daughters, Cynthia Scurtis, claimed that he had an emotional affair with singer Madonna, whom he later went on to date.
Jennifer Lopez had previously admitted she was cheated on but never revealed by whom.
Long before she and Alex were an item, J.Lo admitted that she'd been cheated on. At the time, many people believed she was referring to Ben Affleck when she said: "It's about realizing it's not about you," she explained to Glamour UK. "When someone cheats on you, it's about them … about their shortcomings. It makes it feel like it's about our shortcomings, like there was something wrong with us … but the truth is, that it's really their ego, and what they need to fill within themselves that drives them to do things like that. Not because you weren't enough." Ben and Jen started seeing each other again in 2021 though, so maybe it wasn't him after all.
And of course, there were those rumors about Casper Smart cheating with a transgender model…
Geraldine Bazán and Gabriel Soto divorced after less than two years of marriage.
After eight years of being together on-and-off and having two daughters together, they decided to get married on Valentine’s Day 2016. Their relationship suffered a final blow when a Mexican magazine published photos of the actor playing on the beach with Venezuelan star Marjorie de Sousa. They tried to rebuild the trust for several months, but Gabriel admitted on December 4, 2017, that he had moved out of the family home and that he had in fact cheated on Geraldine several times. “She has put up with many things,” he said on El Gordo y la Flaca.
It later came out that he may have also cheated on his wife with Russian model Irina Baeva, whom he proposed to in January 2021. Even though they seem the happy couple now, many of his followers still consider Irina a roba maridos.
Eva Longoria found out her then-husband Tony Parker was unfaithful in the worst way possible.
He was sexting the wife of a mutual friend and Eva Longoria found "hundreds" of conversations. Ouch!
"It wasn’t about who he chose," Eva said after the divorce, which was finalized in 2011. "I mean, I had moments of, 'Am I not sexy enough? Am I not pretty enough? Am I not smart enough?' But in so many of those questions, I immediately stopped and said, 'No, don’t start doing that.' Because you can get stuck in that cycle.”
Joan Sebastian admitted publicly he had cheated on Maribel Guardia.
The pair were one of the most beloved couples in Latin America when they were together, but according to his friends, Joan deeply regretted the end of their relationship in 1997. The couple split after he had an affair with actress Arleth Terán.
Gerard Piqué revealed that both him and Shakira were in relationships when they met.
Shakira and her ex Antonio de la Rúa made their separation public in January 2011. In a joint message, the couple admitted that they had been living apart since August 2010. But Gerard revealed that he and Shakira were together since the World Cup, which ended in July 2010. The two have since confirmed that they met on the set of Shaki's "Waka Waka" video, which debuted in June of that year.
The soccer player also had a serious girlfriend at the time. The relationship between Núria Tomás and Gerard ended soon after he connected with the Colombian singer.
Antonio Villaraigosa’s political career was put on hold after an affair.
The politician's 20-year marriage to his wife Corina ended in 2007, while he was still the mayor of Los Angeles, after he admitted to having an affair with Mirthala Salinas, an anchor for Telemundo who had previosly reported on city politics.
Adamari López made clear in her book why her marriage to Luis Fonsi ended.
Although people assumed it was because she got cancer. In reality, they got married after she was cancer free. In her book Viviendo, the Telemundo star asserted that Fonsi had cheated on her many times.
Vanessa and Kobe Bryant stayed together after his affair.
It’s surprising that their marriage survived so much. In 2003, Kobe Bryant admitted to having consensual sex with an employee of a hotel where he was staying. Then he bought his wife Vanessa what many people called a $4 million "apology ring." They filed for divorce in 2011, but called it off two years later. The couple appeared happily married when Kobe died in a fatal air accident in January 2020.
Alejandro Sanz’s affair cost him his marriage to Jaydy Michel.
They had been married for seven years and had a daughter Manuela when the Spanish singer revealed he had a son with another woman.
Although Jaydy has insisted that her marriage to Alejandro was already broken, the infidelity seemed to be the last straw in the relationship.
Christina Milian learned about The-Dream’s betrayal in the media.
When racy photos of producer The-Dream and his assistant on vacation together were published, Latina star Christina Milian filed for divorce in July 2010. The couple had only been married for 10 months and had a 5-month-old baby together.
Juanes and his wife Karen almost got divorced.
In 2007, when Juanes and his wife Karen's daughters were just toddlers, rumors that he cheated were everywhere. Luckily, the Colombian singer and his gorgeous actress wife managed to patch things up, eventually welcoming their third child, a gorgeous boy named Dante, later the same year.
Gerardo Bazúa was married when he met Paulina Rubio.
La Chica Dorada was Gerardo's coach during the 2013 season of La Voz in Mexico. He was married to Yuriko Sandoval and had two kids with her. Gerardo got divorced and had a kid with Paulina soon after. Paulina and Gerardo stayed together for a few years and even had a son together, but ultimately split in 2018.
Oscar de la Hoya revealed he had cheated in 2011 during an interview.
The professional boxer confessed to also cheating on his wife, Puerto Rican singer Millie Corretjer. "We are obviously not talking a Tiger Woods here, but I was unfaithful," he said. Oscar has since been accused of sexual assault, but the couple is still together.
Vicente Fernández knows he is a lucky man.

The model had been engaged to Matt Goss for seven years when her ex-boyfriend, Mexican singer Luis Miguel, came back into her life in 2010 and she reportedly started an affair with him, ending her relationship with Matt. Her relationship with Luis was ill-fated as well, but she eventually married musician Richard Marx in 2015, and they are still together.
