Meg and Harry quietly dated for over a year before getting engaged. News broke that these two were secretly dating on October 13, 2016, about four months after they met, so they managed to keep their relationship private for at least a little while.

She met his dad early on.

Meghan met with Harry’s father, Prince Charles, while visiting for part of Harry’s 32nd birthday party in September 2016. How cute is that? You know it's getting serious when you meet the family, and that was definitely pretty soon by any standard.

Their first appearance as a couple in public was adorable.

The two were spotted and photographed in public together for the first time in December 2016 while shopping for a Christmas tree. They were seen at the Pines and Needles store in London. That means less than six months after meeting, they were already celebrating holidays together.

These two have a lot of the same interests and that was clear since the start of their union. They went to see The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time in London’s West End. They are both theater fans and were later spotted attending a performance of Hamilton together.

Media coverage of the two was overwhelming from the start.

It got so bad within just a few months of them being together that, Prince Harry had to issue a statement asking the press and the public to leave the couple alone. The couple also announced that they would be pursuing legal action against a tabloid for their treatment of Meghan in its publications.

They made it official.

"We’re a couple," she confirmed in her cover story for Vanity Fair’s September 2017 issue. "We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time."

Meghan is a total foodie.

Apparently the center stone comes from Botswana and the ring also features two smaller diamonds that once belonged to Prince Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana. How sweet is that? As for the gold band, it was made by Cleave & Company, which happens to be Queen Elizabeth's jeweler.

They tied the knot!
