20 Latino celebrities who have stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Seeing our favorite Latino stars excel in the world of entertainment and in Hollywood fills us with so much pride and hope. Watching one of our own make it in the field gives us a sense that anything is possible. The number of Latino celebrities who have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame gets longer and longer every year, and it's so exciting. 

The ceremonies are such special moments in the entertainers' lives and careers, and they are usually glowing with joy. Guillermo del Toro made sure to express his pride for where he comes from, and he displayed a Mexican flag the moment his star on the walk was revealed. The pics from his ceremony will give you chills! That type of representation is so important for young Latinos whose dreams are to make it in Hollywood because these stars show that anything is possible.

When news broke that the late Selena Quintanilla was going to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016, we were hyped! This was proof that Hollywood was recognizing the amazing mark the Tejano singer left on the world. In November 2017, Selena was officially honored with the star, and Selena's family was there to receive it. Mexican American actress Eva Longoria–who also grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, by the way–received a star that year, too. And it was such a beautiful ceremony for the actress, who was pregnant with her first child at the time. 

Quite a few more Latino stars have scored Walk of Fame stars, and we couldn't be prouder. Here's a look at some stars who have made us all so proud to be Latinos!

The Oscar-winning director waved the Mexican flag proudly as his star on the Walk of Fame was revealed in August 2019. He took the opportunity to speak on the divisiveness and hatred that is plaguing the United States, especially toward Latinos, and urged people to come together. What a stand-up guy!

Lin-Manuel Miranda looked so proud of his accomplishments in November 2019.

It’s been more than 20 years since the singer died, and fans are still obsessed with her. She had such a huge impact on the Latino community. We're so glad she officially received it in 2017, and the family was all there to honor Selena like she deserved.

Eva Longoria received her Walk of Fame star in 2018.
