Summer 2023 travel trends, according to Google searches

Once upon a time, which feels like ages ago, whenever I wanted to make travel plans for the summer, I would have to come up with a place I wanted to visit. I’d maybe ask friends and family for suggestions or think of a place on my own. Then I’d go to the library or a bookstore to get a guidebook for that place. These days, I just Google something along the lines of “top summer vacation destinations 2023” to see where everyone else is going.

I like doing this because I know that pretty much everyone who wants to travel in the summer is looking for summer travel ideas and booking airline tickets online and the price of using Google is that it gets to aggregate all our searches and identify what’s trending. Once those Google search trends are established and released, I can use that information to inspire me to follow the summer travel trends for the year or to venture off somewhere that is a little less trendy. What can I say? Sometimes I want to be where the people are and other times I want some peace and quiet.
