It seems like Demi Lovato is looking to start a new trend on Instagram. The Grammy-nominated singer shared the most incredible bikini selfie, and the best part of all? It was not edited. In a world where most photos we see on social media have gone through some sort of altering or editing process, seeing a woman as famous as Demi take this step is such a breath of fresh air.

The former Disney Channel star recently opened up about embracing her "flaws" with another bathing suit pic that showed off her curves and her cellulite. Demi is so beyond talented, and she has overcome a lot of obstacles in her life, so seeing her embrace her true self for the world to see is so inspiring.
Demi flaunted her figure in the tiniest bikini.
Hello, curves! Demi wore a leopard-print string bikini and looked phenomenal. The lighting in this bathroom was everything and made her tan really pop. The tips of her hair matched the lime green trim of the bikini, so we are really loving this look. She captioned it: "No photoshop pls & thank u. Also big thanks to @izabelag4 & @maremareswimw for my new fav bikini… y’all know my thing for leopard print bikinis and now of course lime green ."
Demi recently shared an unedited photo of her "real and raw" self.
Demi showed off her cellulite in honor of National Cellulite Day in an unfiltered photo from a vacation she took in May. "This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited," she wrote. "And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!! I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got. I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards. So here’s me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day."
She previously shared these photos from her vacation in May.
While she looked incredible in these shots, Demi later confirmed that she had edited them before posting. It's no secret that a lot of people fix their photos, but coming clean about it is definitely respectable. There's nothing wrong with enhancing your pics, but it is good for her young fans to know that it's OK to be your natural self, too.
Demi has been transparent about her struggles with body image.
Ever since she was a child, Demi has struggled to feel confident in her own skin and has suffered from eating disorders. Her journey to healing hasn't been easy, and she has been trying to control her bulimia for years. It's important that, although that struggle is never really over, Demi is showing that she is now comfortable with loving her body no matter what.
