Jennifer Lopez is 49 years young and she has never been in a better place when it comes to her professional and personal life. The entertainer has her hand in everything from TV shows to movies to music. She is juggling all that along with her other businesses and being a mother to her 10-year-old twins, Max and Emme. Despite multiple highly publicized failed relationships, J.Lo also found the energy to give love another chance and has been in a healthy relationship with Alex Rodriguez for the past two years.

It seems like everything has finally lined up for the star, and she shared the secret that led to her biggest breakthrough in her love life. She broke it down in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, and it's advice we can all use.
Jennifer is the cover star of the magazine's love-themed February issue, which is so perfect for her.
She just wrapped a hugely successful year that was full of new music, a return to the movie world with Second Act, and she filmed new season of World of Dance–and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Spending the holidays surrounded by love with A-Rod and their blended family was the cherry ontop, but J.Lo had to do a lot of work on herself to get to this place.
“For me, the relationship journey has been very up and down," she told 'Harper's Bazaar'.
We've all witnessed her roller coaster romances with men like Diddy, Ben Affleck, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony, Casper Smart, and Drake. The good times and bad times were all tabloid fodder.
Those failures ultimately taught J.Lo a very valuable lesson about self-love.
"But it didn’t have to do with anybody else but me—it was about me figuring out me," she continued. "Until you learn to love yourself, you can’t completely love [someone else] in a way that is pure and true."
"Once you do that, you can have relationships that are based on love and respect, that are supportive and nourishing."
"There’s an evolution there that had to happen for me," she added. "I feel like I’m in a better place now."
Becoming a mom was one of the main catalysts for her transformation.
"Once I had kids, I realized that I had to be better and do better," she told the magazine. "Not just for them but for myself. There’s something about being responsible for another human being that makes you go, 'Okay, what am I doing for myself? How can I take care of someone else if I can’t even take care of myself? How can I teach them how they should be treated if I allow people to treat me in a way that’s not nice? How can I teach them to be hard workers if I’m not working hard?' I started examining myself from all different angles."
That self-reflection definitely paid off because now she is "wildly in love" with A-Rod.
They seem to complement each other so well. The couple has been attached at the hip ever since we first learned about their relationship back in 2017. It doesn't hurt that A-Rod also acts like J.Lo's number one fan whenever they are on a red carpet. She also supports him with his business endeavors.
To top it all off, their kids get along too!
"She’s ecstatically happy, and the family meld that’s happening, Max with his girls [Emme and Rodriguez’s daughters, Natasha, 14, and Ella, 10], the whole thing is amazing," J.Lo's best friend, Leah Remini, said. What more could you ask for?!
According to the article, J.Lo and A-Rod are not engaged, and we don't think there's anything wrong with that.
They are both clearly committed to each other and look happier than ever. This couple doesn't need a ring to prove it.
