We love seeing celebrities pay homage to the late, great superstar Selena Quintanilla because it helps keep Selena's memory alive and introduces younger generations to her legacy. One time, Chiquis Rivera wasn't even trying to dress up as the legendary singer, but she ended up looking just like her. A few of year ago, Demi Lovato and America Ferrera dressed as the the Queen of Tejano music for Halloween, and the result was wonderful. Other celebrities, like Jackie Guerrido, Becky G, Keke Palmer, and Kim Kardashian, have also paid tribute to the Grammy winner, who was born on April 16, 1971.

Natti Natasha embodied the legendary singer for a tribute.
During Premios Juventud 2020, a few famous singers took the stage to pay homage to Selena. Natti Natasha was one of them. The Dominican singer did such a great job of channeling her inner Tejana queen.
Mariana Echeverría had a backup mini Selena.
Mariana Echeverría and her companion Arly stunned on the set of the reality show Mi Famoso y Yo in March 2023 when they performed “La Carcacha” as Selena and mini Selena in matching purple jumpsuits. They were adorable.
That time Chiquis Rivera wasn't even trying to dress up like Selena.
On March 27, 2023, Chiquis posted a series of photos and wrote, "No caption- ustedes encárguense! just loving these pants right now. They’re my new favs. ." Well, in the comments, fans kept saying she looked so much like Selena in the photos. It's the hat. That hat is giving off serious Selena vibes.
Ana Brenda shimmered as Selena.
While hosting the show Tu Cara Me Suena, the singer and actor wowed everyone with her tribute to Selena. The tribute was done in 2022 on the 27th anniversary of Selena’s death. Ana Brenda wore a purple flared jumpsuit and Selena’s signature red lips.
Giselle Blondet paid homage to Selena on Halloween in 2022.
The Puerto Rican star sang "Amor Prohibido" by Selena while wearing one of Selena’s signature looks. The performance was part of a tribute to great divas on La Mesa Caliente, the Telemundo show that Giselle cohosts.
Ivy Queen transformed into the Queen of Tejano music.
Ivy is known as the Queen of Reggaeton, but in October 2022, she transformed herself into the Queen of Tejano music. Ivy wore a version of the iconic purple jumpsuit from Selena's Astrodome performance, as well as a wig and makeup that were spot on.
Adamari López channeled Selena and OMG!
Adamari López dressed as Selena on the show Hoy Día to honor the 25-year anniversary of the movie Selena. It was meant to be fun, but some people were not amused and criticized Adamari to no end. Sigh.
Ciara went all out!
In 2021, singer Ciara dressed and performed as singer Selena for Halloween. She even posted a video of herself lip-syncing to "Bidi Bidi Bom" as if she were onstage. She did not hold back, either.

Not only did Ciara post a video of herself channeling Selena, she also shared a series of photos of herself in costume. "The Legendary Selena! I’ve been practicing learning Spanish and having the time of my life. So I wanted one of my costumes to reflect the LatinX culture. This was so much fun!" Ciara captioned the photos.
Francisca Lachapel paid tribute to Selena on the anniversary of her death.
The ¡Despierta América! cohost paid tribute to the late singer on March 31, 2022. Sadly, the tribute marked the 27th anniversary of Selena's death. “Sing with me What is your favorite Selena song. She lives in our hearts,” Francisca captioned the video she posted on social media.

When we found out in 2019 that the streaming giant cast actress Christian to play the lead role of the Tejano singer in the show Selena: The Series, we were "muy excited," as Selena would say. The much-anticipated series debuted on December 4, 2020.

Jennifer Lopez reached stardom because of Selena.
Jennifer Lopez did an amazing job playing Selena in the 1997 movie. Both the movie and her acting were so impactful that we still associate J.Lo with the Tejano songstress today. The actress really did a phenomenal job at capturing Selena's spirit for the film, and seeing her transformation was so inspiring.
America Ferrera channeled her inner Selena and looked amazing.
The Superstore star decided to show off her Halloween costume in 2017 by posing for a pic at a grocery store. Hey, they do happen to have great lighting in there. The outfit was on point, and that wig is everything and more!
Kim Kardashian surprised us on Halloween night dressed as Selena.
In 2017, Kim hit up a few Halloween parties dressed as Cher, Madonna, and even Aaliyah. But no one saw this Selena Quintanilla costume coming. It's amazing! Some people had mixed feelings about Kim dressing up as the Mexican legend, but you can't deny that her glam squad did one heck of a job with this look.
Chris Brown's daughter dressed up as Selena and melted our hearts.
Royalty Brown dressed up as the Tejano queen for Halloween 2016, and she was the cutest little Selena we've ever seen! The long black wig probably weighed more than her tiny body, and we love that her mom made her wear a tank top under the crop-top costume. So cute.
Influencer Desi Perkins dressed up as Selena for Halloween 2017 and she NAILED it.
Everything from the lipstick, the smile, the curves, and the outfit were on point! Desi Perkins totally transformed into Sel, and it's almost scary how much she looked like her.
