With that kind of following comes a lot of influence, which is why Selena decided to use her platform to urge young adults to defend the DREAMers who were directly affected by the Trump administration's decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The DACA is an immigration policy established by former President Barack Obama to protect individuals who entered the U.S. illegally as minors. Selena used her IG as a place to let her followers know that now is the time to defend the DACA. Here's a look at what she said along with other celebs who have spoken out!
Selena wants her followers to take action.

The singer and actor whose father is of Mexican descent, shared this powerful message to Instagram.
Gina Rodriguez spoke about how DREAMers will be at risk.

“Nearly 1 million young immigrants #DREAMers will be at risk of deportation if @realDonaldTrump ends #DACA. We demand #DefendDACA! #HereToStay,” she tweeted.
Lin-Manuel Miranda is not about Donald Trump.

"Okay. The Bad Man continues to do bad. Your move, Congress. #DefendDREAMers #DREAMAct #LetsGo,” he tweeted.
America Ferrera is backing DREAMers til the end.

Kerry Washington wants people to do something about this.

Cher wants us to protect DREAMers.

Desi Perkins admitted she has family affected by the DACA decision.

The YouTube beauty star who is of Mexican descent, shared via Snapchat how her family will be affected if the DACA really is rescinded. "My family came here for the dream and for a better future… it makes me sad to see how HUMANS are being treated. I have loved ones here on DACA and I can’t even imagine them being gone. It’s almost hard to talk about for me," she shared.
Chiquis Rivera wants her followers to get politically involved.

She reposted a message from Voto Latino to Instagram that said: "Tell your member of congress to ask Trump not to rescind DACA. Text DACA to 73179."
Demi Lovato stands with DREAMers.

She shared a "I Stand With DREAMers" image to Instagram with the caption: "Defend #DACA and text RESIST to 50409 to contact your officials and to stand up for what is RIGHT. Dreamers, I stand with you. We WILL fight this and the evil people who are standing in our way,” she wrote.
Eva Longoria’s heart broke when the news came out.

She shared a “I Stand with Dreamers” image to Instagram with the caption: “As Obama said, ‘This is about basic decency.’ My heart breaks for these young people who are contributing to our country and now have to live in fear. The DACA program protects 800,000 immigrant youth from deportation and gives them freedom to work and lives law abiding life. Today we reaffirm our solidarity without DACA-mented, and DACA-eligible youth and their families, and pledge to do everything in our power to preserve their rights, protections, and opportunities. Don’t just like this post–take action to defend DACA and protect our immigrant communities,” she wrote.
