What happens when your almost 6 year old daughter is obsessed with Selena Quintanilla? The Vega family threw her an AH-mazing Selena-themed birthday party, of course! The Texas family spent at least $500 to create a mini stage, a piñata and a rose-embellished cake with a Selena topper. But it was all worth it, of course, and this little girl's birthday party is sure to make every Selena fan out there a bit jealous. Then 5-year-old Ayvah dresses up as Selena Quintanilla for Halloween.
Alex and Belinda Vega explained to BuzzFeed that their daughter's love of the Tejano superstar began with videos of her singing on YouTube, and quickly grew to her listening to the singer's music and then discovering the Selena movie.
To celebrate her 6th birthday, Ayvah had an amazing Selena party.
The Vegas say that Ayvah watches Selena almost daily, and has now seen it hundreds of time. So when it came time for her birthday on February 12th, it seemed natural to throw a Selena-themed party.

According to dad Alex, the party took months of planning and it was Belinda who took the lead in making sure that everything was perfect for their little girl. Including, we hope, dad's "Anything for Selenas" T-shirt.

Although some of her friends thought they were going to a Selena Gomez-themed party, everything went over well and the party was a huge success (and a bit of an educational opportunity for those that didn't know the original Selena's work).
