Ryan Gosling didn't name Eva Mendes directly when he accepted his 2017 Golden Globe as best actor in a comedy or musical for his work on La La Land, but his speech was filled references to "his lady," what he called the Cuban super star. Every word revealed their love, their partnership and the strength of their family. I dare you not to tear up! I did.

Ryan Gosling showed up solo to the 2017 Golden Globes.
There was no Eva Mendes at his side, which kind of surprised me. He was nominated for La La Land, which is for many critics the most relevant role of his career. It shouldn't have shocked me, though. Those two hardly ever allow photographers to catch them together. Try to get a picture of them juntitos. Nada!
Gosling won the Golden Globe for his performance, but he captured everyone's heart with his speach.
His speech:
I'd like to try and thank one person properly and say that while I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences that I've ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second, and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer. If she hadn't had taken all of that on so that I could have this experience, would surely be someone else here other than me today. So sweetheart, thank you. To my daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, I love you. And if I may, I'd like to dedicate this to the memory of her brother, Juan Carlos Mendez. Thank you very much to the HFPA. Goodnight.
Sebastian, Gosling's character in 'La La Land,' is a pianist obsessed with jazz.
He has described it as the role of a lifetime. While he was filming the movie, Eva was home with older daugther Esmeralda, pregnant with baby Amada and fearing the worst news about her older brother's ailing health.
Filming hours are long and preparing to sing, dance and play such a talented pianist required many hours of studying and rehearsing. No wonder he was so grateful to her.
This is Eva with Juan Carlos Mendez.
Mendez died of cancer at 53, in April of 2016. Obviously he meant a lot to Eva, but also to Ryan Gosling, who dedicated his Golden Globe to him. It was a testament to the strength of their love and family.
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling became a couple in 2011.
Mendes and Gosling spent a lot of time together in the set of the movie The Place Beyond the Pines. Their friendship bloomed into love on the streets of New York City.
At the beginning of their relationship, it wasn't hard to spot them hanging out.
This is their first official photo together as a couple, which was taken in Disneyland. What a cute place for a date!
By June of 2012, she was visiting the in-laws.
Canadian born and raised, Gosling is very close with his mother and sister and we knew things were getting super serious when in June of 2012, he took Eva to his mom Donna's college graduation at Brock University in Ontario.
Paris was perfect for the lovers.
They were seen discovering the amazing cemetery of Pere Lachaise in this photo. Ryan had traveled to hang out with Eva in France, where she was working in November of 2011.
Then there was been a lot of hiding for long periods of time, but only to throw off the media.
As the public interest in their relationship grew, the couple seem to have decided to avoid the media. Many thought they had broken up, because they were not seen in public together for months.
They were majorly stalked.
It got to a point that people were watching what cars they were driving. It payed up, though. Gossip media took as a confirmation that they were still together when a paparazzi caught Gosling driving Eva's car in February of 2014.
Esmeralda Gosling was born on September 12, 2014.
The couple has kept their private policy on since then. We haven't ever properly seen the adorable litttle girl's face.
In May of 2015, they had Amada.
The public learned about their second baby's birth only a few weeks after the news of her second pregnancy broke. Talk about privacy!
