We know that a good relationship means always being honest. But, what if there's an exception to that rule? Sometimes it's just easier to make something up than to say the truth. "Sorry, honey, I'm busy tonight and have to work late."

Sometimes you're legitimately busy and need to stay at work… And other times you just need a night off from being a couple without hurting your love's feelings. Is it SO wrong if you "stay late" at the office to catch up on Scandal?
"Yes, mi corazón , I love that show too!"

His favorite show is Firefly, your favorite show is Jane the Virgin. But he loooooves his show and you just don't have it in your heart to tell him that it's just not your thing. It's cool, he never has to know that you fibbed on this one a little bit.
"Hahaha! Oh my god, babe, you're SO funny!"

It's great to have a sense of humor, and we're sure your hubby makes you laugh… But be honest, that's not really ALL of the time, is it? It's okay to pretend like everything that comes out of his mouth is comic gold, though.
"Oh, what do you mean? I didn't notice any stain."

Your man may feel ashamed about that stain or that zit or that other thing… And while you may feel that you're helping by pointing it out and offering a solution, the truth is that he might just prefer if you pretend that you never saw it in the first place.
"Sweetie, that was the best dinner I've EVER had."

He made you his mom's famous summer salad. But you hate cold pasta dishes. Yet, it would be SUPER cruel to actually say that, wouldn't it? When it comes to cooking, it's best to just eat up and SMILE.
"Mmmmm don't wake me please, I'm still sleeping..."

He's up and ready to hit the shower, and you're still in bed and hoping for another press of the snooze button. Tell him you're sleeping, then spend the next blissful 10 minutes catching up on Facebook on your phone while he's none the wiser.
"No, I really haven't seen that movie, have you?"

You've been scrolling through Netflix for what seems to be at least an hour trying to find something neither of you has seen… At this point, it might just be time to call it quits and just pretend like the next movie he suggests isn't one you've been quoting since you were 12.
"Of course it's not important for you to come to my bestie's birthday party."

One of the biggest little white lies we may tell is when it's okay (and not okay) for him to skip what seems like a major event in our lives. Best friend's birthday? Okay, he's off the hook… For now, anyway.
"SO sorry, I didn't forget to reply, I just missed that text!"

You read the text, and then immediately got caught up at work and forgot to reply. You hear from him again hours later, wondering what's up or why you haven't responded… Just pretend that it's all a big huge mistake. Trust us, it's easier on his ego.
"Lies? What lies? I would NEVER lie to you, darling."

And last but not least… Make sure you read this list somewhere that he can't view your browser history because… We mean, THIS NEVER HAPPENED!
