When love ends between two people, it often leaves one person–or both of them–feeling bitter. Breakups can even sometimes make enemies out of a couple who once used to be madly in love with each other. Luckily for some people, there are still former partners who manage to transform a romantic love into a long-lasting friendship.
There are relationships that fall apart because of serious issues and ending amicably might not be an option, but if there are two consenting adults who mutually decide to call it quits, why not gain a friend out of the equation?
More from MamásLatinas: Celebrity couples who've called it quits in 2018
Most celebrity couples have had to live out their breakups publicly and are sometimes forced to see their exes at Hollywood events like award shows or movie premieres. So imagine how awkward that would be if they didn't learn to get along after their split?
Divorce makes things even harder, especially if kids are involved. If a former married couple decides to go their separate ways and they share children, not ending on a good note deeply affects the children. Other couples make a conscious decision to remain friendly for the sake of their babies. Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are the perfect example of that. The former power couple has continued to stay friends as they raise their twins, Emme and Max, and they're the definition of a happy blended family. Bravo to them! Here are more celeb exes who actually get along.
