SEE: Brazilian man deformed after toxic injections to pump up his arm muscles

If you thought those bodybuilding competitions were intense, you haven't seen anything yet. Brazilian bodybuilder Romario Dos Santos Alves beats all of the buff steroid-filled men out there and he has the animated character Hulk to thank for it. The 25-year-old's mission in life was to look like his superhero icon, which led him to become addicted to toxic injections to make his muscles grow to an ungodly size. Alves' body looks so painful to look at that I can't even imagine how he must feel trapped inside of his insanely muscular build. You have to SEE this guy's picture!

Body obsession could be just as ugly for men as it is for women. To me, Alves doesn't even look human anymore! Alves described his visit to the doctor and said, "The doctor told me, 'We are going to have to amputate your arm. Your muscles are all rock, they're destroyed.' "

Alves' shape turned this drastic once he met a few fit men who introduced him to synthol, a toxic mixture of oil and alcohol, which is injected into the skin to make your muscles larger. This process must be so painful and harmful to his body.

Alves battled depression and tried to committ suicide once doctors told him that there only option was to amputate his arms. Luckily, the doctors had a change of heart after further exams. Alves stopped using the toxic injections in 2013, but still works out religiously to maintain his buff figure.

Even without the injections, his muscles are going to give up on him and he will probably be armless soon. It just looks like he went too far. It's sad that that's the consequence he's going to have to live with because of his sick body obsession.

The even sadder part is that Alves was a handsome and healthy man before he started to morph himself into a Hulk wannabe (see the pic above … sad!). You would hope that he had people in his life that would encourage him to look after his health, but even his partner seems to be supportive of his lifestyle. You have to watch his interview to actually believe that this story is sadly true.
