Sofia Vergara is a lot of things to the American public, but now she has officially become the perfect U.S. citizen. The 42-year-old Colombian superstar moved to the U.S. in her 20s and she's been quite successful. I have to say that hearing her talk about becoming an official U.S. citizen got me all teary-eyed and made me very proud of her because it's not an easy thing and wait until I tell you why Sofia Vergara is the PERFECT U.S. citizen.

Vergara was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the other night and he brought up the fact that she recently became a citizen. He asked her about the process and whether they made her jump through hoops and she said:
They make you [jump through hoops] because they have to make sure that you deserve to be part of the country. The most interesting thing for me was, they give you like a hundred questions that you have to learn, and then they give you a quiz, like a test.
That test is no joke. If I had to take that test right now, I'm sure I wouldn't pass it and I was born and educated here. Well, guess what? Vergara got every question right! She scored 100 percent on her test. It doesn't get better than that! She said to Kimmel with obvious pride, "I got all questions perfect. Yes, all of them … I got all the questions!"
Oh and if you doubt her allegiance to the U.S. for any reason, when questioned by Kimmel if she would fight for the United States she said, "I'm ready!" And I totally believe her.
