A 26-year-old gunman named Aaron Ybarra has been arrested for opening fire at Seattle Pacific University, a Christian college in Seattle, Washington. He managed to kill one student, wound three others, and probably would have killed many more if it wasn't for one heroic student who was able to stop him.

Jon Meis, an engineering student at Seattle Pacific University, was in charge of hall duty during the time of the shooting. He confronted the shooter when he was in the middle of reloading his shotgun, pepper sprayed his face, and was able to get him on the ground. Other students jumped in and held the shooter down until police arrived to the scene. How amazing is that?
Not only was Meis incredibly courageous, but he technically also risked his life in the process. The 26-year-old engineering student is engaged and had everything to lose. "I'm proud of the selfless actions that my roommate, Jon Meis showed today taking down the shooter. He is a hero," Matt Garcia tweeted. He is a hero indeed!
The truth is, if it wasn't for Meis, this incident would have been a hell of a lot more tragic. Who knows how many students the shooter would have managed to kill. The strange thing is that Ybarra wasn't a student at the college and had absolutely no connection to it or to any of the other students on campus. Weird, right? So why did he decide to target this school? Police don't know and are still trying to figure out the motive behind the attack. They did discover, though, that he had visited the campus recently, most likely to scope it out for the shooting. Ugh! What a psychopath!
Apparently, Ybarra used to work as a janitor at LA Fitness and was still living with his parents. Who knows what his deal was. All I know, is thank goodness for Meis. He literally saved the day! I can't even imagine what could have happened if it wasn't for this one brave student. His selflessness will never be forgotten!
