I am so excited to tell you about 6-year-old Kaylen Woodward from Chicago. You would think I was related to this little boy considering how gosh dang proud I am of him. Last Thursday, this little hero saved his friend and neighbor, 10-year-old Marcy Edwards, from getting kidnapped, using nothing but his smarts and little limbs. The two children were outside playing when some desgraciado stopped his car, got out, walked up to Marcy and grabbed her by the arm in an attempt to abduct her. Kaylen saw what was going on and he ran over and kicking the man in the legs.

His kicks made it possible for Marcy to get away and run to the safety of her home. I'm sure you can imagine how grateful Marcy's mom, Tracey Edwards is. "We call him our little hero," she said. "We are blessed that he was there." No doubt.
This litte boy saw his friend in danger and literally rescued her on instinct. I'm so proud of him.
You know that the kidnapper went up to Marcy because he didn't see any adults around and thought he would be in the free and clear. I'm sure it never occurred to him that a 6-year-old would intervene and thwart his nefarious intentions.
The would be kidnapper got away in the white convertible with red seats that he was driving. He is described as a white or Hispanic male, 18 to 20 years old with black hair and a light complexion.
