Willie Myrick was playing with his pet chihuahua outside of his Atlanta home when some creep drove by and kidnapped him. The man literally grabbed him and forced him into his car. Who knows what he was planning on doing to this poor kid but Willie wasn't going down without a fight.
"He was cursing at me telling me to shut up and didn't want to hear a word from me," he told ABC affiliate WSB-TV. "He said if I told anyone, he would hurt me, like in a bad way."
So instead of feeling hopeless, Willie held on to his faith and started singing gospel music. He first song of choice was "Every Praise." After three hours of this kid singing gospel songs the man grew tired and threw Willie out of his car, onto the street and quickly drove away. Looks like someone was wracked with guilt!
The songwriter behind "Every Praise" was so touched, he flew out to Atlanta just to meet Willie. He believes that God spoke through the boy using that song. So the gospel song in theory saved this kid's life. How incredible is that? "You never know who you're going to touch," the gospel singer told WSB-TV.
So what happened to the jerk that kidnapped this kid in the first place? Well apparently he's still out on the loose. According to reports, there's a $10,000 reward for whoever can capture him. He's a black man somewhere in his mid-to-late 20s and he was wearing khaki shorts and a white, short-sleeve shirt he day of the incident. Let's hope they find this jerk!
