Jacob Aguirre is 12 years old and loves him some basketball. There is a hoop set up by his home and on March 19 he was out there practicing on his own when a cop pulled up in a patrol car. "I thought I was in trouble when he pulled over." Who wouldn't think that?
At some point, Monica Aguirre, Jacob's mom saw what was going on through her home's window and she thought the same thing that Jacob first thought, that something must be wrong. I know that if I were her, I would have been thinking, what the heck is that cop doing with my kid?! When she figured out what was happening, she pulled out her cell phone and then things went viral.

It turns out that the cop was on his break, saw Jacob shooting hoops and challenged him to a game of one-on-one. Is that not one of the sweetest things you've ever heard of a cop doing?
Monica took footage of the officer playing with her son and uploaded it to her Facebook page with a big thank you to the mystery cop. She later shared images and her thanks on the San Antonio Police Department Facebook page as well.

The identity of the basketball playing cop is still a mystery, but his act of kindness has touched many. Monica would like to thank him personally and Jacob would like a rematch because the cop won by two points. Nice!
Who ever this police officer is, he did a good thing and I love it because it's not like he thought anyone other than Jacob would ever know. That's a good deed right there!
