____Holy smokes, did you all see how fantastic Christina Aguilera looked at the American Music Awards last night? She has been looking fantastic lately, but even before her new look, she's always been a great role model. Sure she went through her somewhat risque phase, but The Voice judge and singer made a comeback as a composed woman and excellent mother.
Most recently she's made headlines for her dramatic weight loss. While we think she looks phenomenal, what we love most about her is the positive message that she sends out to women everywhere.

Aguilera isn't the average pop star who has succumbed to the pressures of Hollywood. Instead she marches to the beat of her own drum and we admire her for that. Even with her recent weight loss, the star has proven that she hasn't lost her sense of self or let it go to her head. Her humility has made her a likeable woman and role model for other women looking to improve themselves.
In fact, we gathered up some of Aguilera's most positive and empowering quotes that we believe make her an excellent body image role model. We're sure you'll appreciate them too!
She chooses QT with her son over a workout: "If I have to choose between working out and spending time with my son after a hard day, it's not even a question," she told Redbook recently.
She wants women to love their bodies: "I think that whatever size or shape body you have, it's important to embrace it and get down! The female body is something that's so beautiful. I wish women would be proud of their bodies and not diss other women for being proud of theirs."
She's self-confident: "I don't weigh myself — it's all about how I feel in my clothes. What looks good on one person might not look good on another body type. I happen to be very confident in my own skin. It takes time to get to that place, but it's all about embracing yourself and your body."
She loves herself: "I embrace my body, and I embrace everything about myself. Coming full circle is a celebration of freedom and happiness."
She embraces her sexuality: "At this point of my life, I'm 32 and I feel sexier than ever because you know what you want."
