An 103-year-old groom and 99-year-old bride proved that it's better late than never in the most amazing way yet. Now wheelchair bound, Jose Manuel Riella married Martina Lopez after being together for 80 years. The Paraguayan couple had married through the civil court 49 years ago, but never had the religious ceremony that they always wanted.
The elderly duo was officially wed in their garden as their WHOLE family watched them unite in holy matrimony. Aw, how sweet!

Considering the number of years the couple has been together and their ages, you can imagine that their family is big. It certainly is! All eight of their children, 50 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren watched as they got married before a priest.
Lopez told BBC news that she felt very emotional about having a priest bless their marriage and relationship. In fact the priest said that they were the oldest newlyweds he's ever married!
The adorable abuela made sure to wear a long white dress and afterwards the family partied at the elderly couple's home in Santa Rosa del Aguaray. I wonder how they were able to fit everyone into their home?!
I love hearing about these types of love stories because they're usually priceless. This couple's story is by far one of the cutest I've ever heard of and it proves that true love can last a lifetime. I bet these abuelos can still party as hard as their great-grandchildren, but I'm glad they were able to have the wedding they always wanted after all these years.
