Hero dog alerts his family that the babysitter is abusing their baby

I've always believed that dogs have good instincts about people, therefore I wasn't surprised when I heard that Benjamin and Hope Jordan's dog outed their abusive babysitter. The couple had hired 22-year-old Alexis Khan to watch over their 7-month-old son, Finn, around the time they moved to Charleston, South Carolina. She seemed like a good fit, but soon made the parents suspicious after their dog started acting protective over Finn whenever she would come over.

Turns out their pooch was simply trying to send them a warning message about the babysitter from hell…

After their dog started acting aggressively towards the babysitter, they decided to place an iPhone under the couch and record the ongoings in their home while they were away. What they discovered is just about any parents' nightmare.

Khan was heard slapping, cursing, and abusing little Finn as he cried much to the Jordans' dismay. She was arrested and charged with assault and battery weeks later by police. Benjamin told the news station that he and his wife were relieved to know that Khan was being sentenced to three years in jail and was registered under a child abuse registry. That way other parents could be protected from this horrible woman.

If it hadn't been for their dog, Khan would still be babysitting their baby and for all they know she could've left him badly hurt–or worse, I don't even want to think about it. Thankfully Finn hasn't suffered any serious injuries at her hands, but this story comes as a warning to all parents about whom their hire to care for their kids.

I'm relieved the adults had some sense to listen to the family dog who was warning them that this woman was bad news. I'm also glad to know that Khan is off the streets and behind bars because there are so many abusive babysitters like her out there. This time I'm sure the Jordans are going to do an even more thorough background check when it comes to finding another caretaker for their son.
