An amazing 9-year-old girl from Panama City, Florida is a hero after saving her father by driving him to the hospital when he suddenly fell ill behind the wheel. Esteria Smith was picked up by her dad, John, after her karate class on Monday when he started feeling woozy. The child also noticed that something was not right with her dad when they got into the car and he told her they were going to the hospital.
John's condition got worse and suddenly he started panicking because he lost his vision. Lucky for him, his daughter is very brave!

Esteria thought quickly on her feet and took control of the wheel all while still riding in the backseat. WOW!
Reports indicate that despite the challenge of maneuvering a car, Esteria managed to get her dad to Bay Medical hospital, only eight blocks from their starting point. After he lost consciousness doctors found that John had a shocking stage four golf ball sized tumor on the left side of his brain. He had become incapacitated because this side of the brain handles vision, motor skills, and memory.
The dad is now getting treatment for his ailment but he is thankful that his daughter saved his life in such a scary moment. John told a news website, "You think you have a plan, and then they change. You realize what's not as important as you thought. Things that you took for granted- you no longer take for granted."
Wow, what an amazing story! I'm glad that Esteria was smart enough to know what do even though she's probably never been behind the wheel of a car. If it hadn't been for her, her dad would have never found out he had this tumor on time. Even though his cancer is far along, hopefully doctors can get rid of it effortlessly. My thoughts are with the Smith family as John goes through treatment and wish them the very best.
