Dads usually play an important role at weddings, which is why 25-year-old Rachel Wolf wanted to record her father-daughter dance ahead of time. You see, her father, Dr. James Wolf is dying from pancreatic cancer and just like any woman, she'd like the chance to dance with her father on her wedding day. Rachel isn't currently engaged, but her father only has four to six months left to live and by pre-recording their dance she hopes to be able to watch it on her wedding day.
Although the Wolf family should be preparing for the father's departure, Rachel decided to make arrangements for her faux wedding in the most touching video you will see today.

Rachel's idea inspired people in her neighborhood of Auburn, California to donate wedding attire, a professional photographer, hairstylist, limo, DJ, and a gazebo. Local news reports that Dr. Wolf was touched by the gesture and says that he is saddened that he won't be present for his daughter's life events. Rachel had formally invited him to her future wedding during a visit to her home.
"My greatest sadness of you not being here is that you won't get to walk me down the aisle," she said, "or have a special father-daughter dance, so I'm inviting you to my wedding." Although Dr. Wolf has been weak from the chemotherapy he's been undergoing, he managed to slip into a tuxedo for the video. During the shoot, family members and the doctor's patients gathered to watch the touching tribute.
Rachel tells the TV station that she doesn't want to regret not having had a father-daughter dance one day and that now she can have the moment forever. She adds,"He's always been my hero. He's pretty much everyone's hero because he's a doctor, but he's mine. He's the best". Aw, that's so touching!
This is probably one of the saddest and happiest moments I've ever seen happen at once. It is sad to know that Rachel's father will die soon, but it's sweet to know that she wanted one last special memory with him. This one will last a lifetime and just like any woman, she deserves her father at her wedding. Our thoughts are with the Wolf family as they face this difficult time, but hopefully are making the best of the doctor's remaining weeks.
