I may have just fallen in love with NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). A 7-year-old little boy named Dexter, wrote NASA a letter about wanting to become an astronaught and NASA had the good graces to write him back. I find that so touching.
Dexter is from England and he visited the Kennedy Space Center with his family last year. His mom wrote on Reddit that he loved it. So then the he decided to write NASA a letter. I love that at such a young age, he was compelled to reach out.

His letter says,
My name is Dexter I heard that you are sending 2 people to Mars and I would like to come but I'm 7. So I can't. I would like to come in the future. What do I need to do to become an astronaut?
So then NASA writes back with an awesome letter of their own. Encouraging the child, providing him with resources, and more than anything validating his inquisitiveness, curiosity, and appreciation.
Maybe it's silly of me, but I am so impressed by NASA's response. It's such a beautiful way to invest in the future. I have no doubt that the letter has created a cherished memory for that little boy. And who knows, I wouldn't be surprised at all if one day Dexter did end up on a mission to Mars. It's totally within the realm of possibility.
I wish all of our children received such great encouragement and validation. It just shows that you are never to young to dream, never to young to inquire, never to young to receive a response.
