It's summer! The skies are clear, the sun is shining … and you're stuck in the office, trying not to stare out the window. Don't worry–we've all been there. It can be close to impossible to keep focus when the weather is so nice.

Prioritize

Make a list of all of your tasks and when you need to get them accomplished by. Whether you're working on a bunch of small assignments or one big project, going down the list and checking things off as you do them will help keep you on top of everything.

Eat breakfast

You might be tempted to just grab an iced coffee and go, but eating a healthy nutritious breakfast can improve your concentration and attention.

Plan a vacation

Planning a trip somewhere will give you something to look forward to when you're working late. And you'll feel better knowing you're making use of all those vacay days you've stored up!

Take a lunch break

Take a lunch break and head outside with coworkers. If you can't afford to spare a full hour, at least make sure to get out and take a 15 to 20 minute walk. It'll boost your energy and you'll feel more focused when you head back in.

Make use of any extra time

If you have a job that slows down dramatically during the summer season, make use of all that extra time by getting ahead and brainstorming or planning for future projects you know you have coming up.

Take advantage of the weekends

You work hard, so take advantage of the weekends and blow off some steam. Go to the beach with family or friends or partake in some of your favorite outdoor activities. By the time you head back to work on Monday, you'll feel refreshed and invigorated.
