Step away from the computer
I'm sure you've had to eat at your desk, staring at your computer screen many many times because of all the work you have pending. Next time, try getting away from your computer at least for five minutes, and you'll see that that little bit of time can make all the difference to make you feel like new.
Listen to music
Listening to some music is the best way to help relieve stress. The most important thing is to listen to music that you actually like.
Eat an orange
It's been reported that vitamin C is excellent to help reduce stress, so make sure you pack an orange in your lunch box and eat it at your desk when you feel like giving up!
Exercise ball
I haven't tried this yet, but so many people have told me that exercise balls are great for those of us who spend hours sitting at our desks, that I'm thinking of going to get one of these to try out this method ASAP.
Breathe
Even if it seems hard to believe, breathing deeply can do wonders to alleviating your stress. The best part is you can do this while you're simply sitting at your desk without interrupting others.
Write up your to-do list
I know having a digital to-do list is convenient, but not when you can't find it because other documents on your desktop are blocking it. It's time to go back to pen and paper! Write down on a piece of paper or a notebook your tasks to get done for the day, that way it'll always be right at your fingertips–literally!
Aromatherapy
I know you probably can't leave work to go get a yummy massage, but you CAN bring those delicious and relaxing smells from the spa to your desk. Always have on hand essential oils that you can use to relax you (lavender usually works great).
