We all have our favorite celebrities that we love for different reasons–for their music, for being in our favorite movie, for being the best player on our favorite team. But now, DoSomething.Org is recognizing some of Hollywood's biggest stars not for their career, but for their contributions to charity.
The site just released their annual list of "Top 20 Celebs Gone Good" and this year, a few Latino celebs we love were honored for their good deeds! So who made the cut?
At number 19 on the list is everyone's favorite funny lady, Sofia Vergara! This year, the Modern Family actress helped raise awareness for Dreams Without Borders, a non-profit that helps bring orphans from Vergara's home country, Colombia, to Disneyland. And this isn't her only involvement with the group. She's been contributing to the organization since 2006!

Teen singer and X-Factor judge, Demi Lovato, fell at number 16 on the list. Lovato, who has been extremely open about her past struggles with eating disorders and bullying, has brought attention to several anti-bullying campaigns like Mean Stinks and Love is Louder–both of which help people deal with self-image and depression. She also teamed up with Do Something themselves to their Teens for Jeans campaign which collected and donated jeans to homeless teens.
Making it to the top 10 is Lovato's fellow former Disney star, Selena Gomez! The 20-year-old might make many headlines for her relationship with on-and-off boyfriend, Justin Bieber, but what she should really be recognized for is all of her charitable donations. She works at children's hospitals across the country and her second-annual UNICEF concert raised $200,000 for kids in Africa.
I'm so glad to see these three amazing Latinas recognized not only for their latest projects, their latest tweets or their relationship status, but also for the way they're using their fame to make a difference. It's inspiring and encouraging to see all of the work these stars are doing and have their efforts honored. I hope that fans are inspired to make contributions of their own–and that other celebs take note and follow suit!
