A new survey revealed that taking care of our mental health is the most important thing in a diet. In fact, as many as 95% of diets may fail because we don't figure out the why of why we're overeating.
Keep a Food Journal

Keeping track of what you're eating is really important to weight loss. Whether it's with a free app like My Fitness Pal or an actual notebook, writing it all down hhelps you keep track of how much you're having.
Don't Drink Your Calories

It's hard to swallow, but laying off the wine and margaritas is not only going to cut the calories but also the amount of sugar you're having. Try to limit yourself to one a week, and you'll see results in no time.
Get a Gym Buddy

Exercise isn't exactly the most fun thing in the world (for most of us), but it can be a much better task if you bring a friend along. Personally, having a gym buddy is the only way I've ever been able to make it in time for Zumba.
Watch Your Portions

Portion control is one of the best ways to lose weight, since you're literally cutting your calories by eating smaller meals. A good way to start: divide your plate. Half should be filled with veggies and fruit, 1/4 with carbs and 1/4 with protein. Enjoy!

Healthy versions of your Latin favorites are a good way to save on calories. Try searching for your favorite recipe plus the word "healthy" or get a new cookbook, like Healthy Latin Eating.
