Most people love their bedrooms and spend a lot of time in there, either because it's the most comfortable room in the house of for lack of space. There's no place like our own bed and most of us have developed a certain attachment to the furniture that we actually miss it when we are away. Our bed represents more than comfort, it's the place where we feel ourselves. We have a "pillow confession" bed and that's the one space we can claim as our own. Some people are so comfortable in bed that they actually do everything in it. But you really shouldn't! Check out this roundup of things that should never EVER be on your bed.

Food
Food belongs in the kitchen and dining table and not in the bedroom. Eating in bed while you are watching a movie might be comfortable, but is actually gross. Forget about the nasty smell of food lingering in your bedroom, but also you'll have crumbs in your sheets. If you like to be awakened by bugs crawling on your bare skin, continue the bad habit of eating in bed.
Pets
I know your doggie (or cat) is your baby and you adore him, but that doesn't mean he has to sleep with you. They move a lot and they will disrupt your sleep. They're also dirty. Even the cleanest pets have viruses and bacteria that are good for them, but harmful for you.
Small electronics
They are bright with a glaring light and they are the bearer of stressful news. I'm talking about your phone or tablet. Checking your email before bed will surely disrupt your sleep patterns and keep you up. Bedtime is for sleeping and cuddling and nothing else.
Children
If you are a mom, like me, this might be a hard thing to accomplish. The problem with having children sleeping in your bed is that they keep you awake. As you know, they move too much and you'll end up with a poor night of sleep. Get up and move them to their bed, its better to move than to lose the entire night.
Snores
The goal here is sleep quality and if your partner is noisy and snores all the time, you are not getting rest. You should address the problem and find the root of his snoring problem. There are many sleep aides available for people with sleep apnea.
Bags
Your purse, your shopping bags and even your coat should never be on your bed because they are dirty. Let's face it, you always leave them on the floor and they are covered with all types of bacteria. You should clean your coats regularly and wipe your purse with disinfecting wipes once in a while.
Dirty sheets
You are good about doing laundry, but you often forget to wash your sheets. It's recommended to change your bed sheets at least once a week in order to keep bacteria and bed bugs out. There are all types of secretions that come out of our bodies when we sleep and you don't want to sleep on it for more than seven days!
Grooming accesories
So many people like to clip their nails, shave their legs and paint their nails in bed. If you are part of this group, you have to stop because it's kind of disgusting. Unless you want to be awakened by pointy nails, hairs and strong nail polish odor, you have to find a better place for grooming.
Dirty diapers
Baby has a dirty diaper, we put him on the bed and make a quick change. It leaks and we wipe it using baby wipes. No big deal! Actually, it is. There is bacteria living in the baby's feces that could create infections and allergic reactions if not properly cleaned.
News
Bedtime is not the time to read the day's news because you'll be awake all night. Most of the news are bad and they are going to make you feel anxious. Avoid reading in bed all together so you can enjoy a full night of restful sleep.
