There's nothing worse than addictions and addictive personalities because the damage is often too great to overcome. Jade Sylvester is a stay-home mom of five who can't stop the urge of eating toilet paper. The 25-year-old mom developed the bizarre craving when she was pregnant with her youngest and thought it was due to a hormonal imbalance. Now that her son is 15 months old, Jade is still eating one roll of toilet paper a day and she loves the texture and the taste of the personal hygiene product.

Jade knows she has an addiction problem and that her behavior is not normal. Her children are aware of their mom's paper habit and often tell her to "spit it out". I think Jade needs to find help quickly because she is not showing a good example to her kids. The scariest thing about her addiction is that she actually loves the taste and the texture of toilet paper. She misses it and her body craves it! Because she is eating paper, she often feels full and doesn't eat real food. I mean, she is going to get really sick because she is not giving her body any nutrients.
The young mom prefers the taste of the generic brands and usually keeps two different rolls in the bathroom. One for using and one for eating! I wonder what her husband or partner thinks of her addiction and if he is doing anything to help her. She could get really sick and develop serious problems with her stomach, intestines or colon. Our bodies are not designed to eat toilet paper because we can't digest it. She says she doesn't have any problems right now, and she should consider herself lucky, but I know that won't always be the case.
Jade started eating a couple of sheets a day but now she's eating the entire roll. She eats it in pieces every time she goes to bathroom. Sometimes she holds the urge for longer periods of time so she doesn't eat more than a roll a day. She needs help! She should be consulting a therapist to help her replace her addiction with another healthier choice. I don't understand what's happening lately, but it seems that more people are developing these weird eating habits. Rosie Skinner is desperate to kick her sponge eating habit and Ayperi Alekseeva had to have surgery in order to remove a nine pound hair ball from her stomach. Nuts!
