Hu Juan hopes the surgery will change her life. She wants to look her age and she doesn't want her children to be ashamed of her anymore. Everything changed 11 years ago after she had her first child. The skin on her face and neck lost elasticity and became saggy and wrinkle. She thought having a second child would reverse the condition, but unfortunately it didn't help. I mean, the poor woman does look like a grandmother and it's shocking! As women and mothers we can all relate to her. Her children are very embarrassed about her appearance … so sad.
Her husband had stayed by her side through this terrible ordeal and he hopes the surgeons in Shanghai can do something to help her. Since this is the first and only case in China, they are not quite sure if the surgery will help or if the skin will sag again. Poor woman! I can't even imagine how she feels every time she sees herself in a mirror. She rarely goes out anymore and she even tried to kill herself. She looks like the mother of her husband and like the grandmother of her children and they don't deserve that.
My friend, count your blessings. Can you imagine? Hu Juan has the energy, the personality and the spirit of a 28-year-old, but her looks don't match that. She is a prisoner in her own body and she is desperate to get out. I hope the surgery works and she ends looking like she feels. I'm sure we'll hear more about her story. In the meantime, don't criticize your looks because you are beautiful.
