Refined sugar

Refined Sugar: Refined sugar is toxic to the body. It provides no vitamins, minerals or enzymes that nourish our system. It increases uric acid levels, which indirectly elevates our blood pressure, and damages our kidney. It messes with your metabolism, and increases your appetite by not suppressing the hunger hormone, ghrelin, and not stimulating the production of the satiety hormone, leptin. It is very bad for the liver and can get converted into fat. Aside from causing weight gain, it will also increase your chances of getting diabetes, cancer, and cholesterol.
Canned foods

Canned foods: Let's start with the can itself. A chemical called Bisphenol A used in canned food linings has been linked with heart disease, diabetes, and cognitive problems. Next come the preservatives. These are masked behind different names we can´t even pronounce and once inside our body, they create havoc. Most canned foods are filled with sodium and other harmful preservatives. Most canned food offers little in terms of nutrition.
Cereals

Cereals: Grocery stores stock way too many varieties of boxed cereals. With attractive pictures and alluring descriptions, they are ever so tempting. There is a reason why they are addictive. Most of them are loaded with sugar, salt, hydrogenated fat and preservatives. They are hardly nutritious. Every morning when you think you are rewarding your body with good quality fiber and carbs, you might be doing the exact opposite. Starting your day with fresh and whole foods, or sticking to a bowl of oatmeal might be the healthiest way to go.
Carbonated drinks

Carbonated drinks: Other than the fact that they are infused with ridiculous amount of sugar, sodas can increase your chances for obesity, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, seizures, blood pressure, tumors, cholesterol and other diseases. The phosphoric acid in them softens our bones by inhibiting the absorption of calcium and other nutrients. Think diet soda is better? Well, sugar is replaced with aspartame, which is also linked to some of the most dangerous diseases out there. Plus, they weaken your tooth enamel.
Processed meats
