Nashi pear juice

ph6zpq9c041.jpg

Pears are like tiny superheros of the fruit family. Not only are they high in tummy-satiating fiber, but they help lower cholesterol, boost energy levels, and may reduce your risk of developing osteoporosis. Nashi pears are no different; they just have the added benefit of having a little more crunch and juice to them.

  • 2 Nashi Pears
  • 2 Green Apples
  • 2-3 Sticks of Celery
  • 1 Lemon

Instructions

Wash all the ingredients and chop if needed. Peel the lemon if desired (the peel gives the juice a more bitter taste). Juice, then pour over ice.

Colds are scared of this spicy blood orange drink–and they should be! Blood orange is bursting with vitamin C, as well as a hefty helping of anthocyanins, which aid in preventing cancer, diabetes and bacterial infections, as well as reducing the risk of heart disease.

Ingredients

  • 6 Blood oragnes
  • 2 Serrano chilis
  • Agave nectar

Instructions

Juice blood oranges. Finely dice serrano chili's and allow chili to soak in the juice for 24 hours. Strain the juice, but take care to remove all the chili and add agave for additional sweetening. Enjoy!

The "beautiful body benefit juice"

phfp8lhag41.jpg

Green veggies are known for their soothing and healing effect on the digestive system. So drink up if you're feeling a little backed up or bloated. Nothing makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin like a happy tummy.

Ingredients

  • 2 small zucchini (baby marrow or courgette)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 small purple (red) cabbage, according to taste
  • 2 red apples
  • 4 green or purple kale leaves
  • 4 white or purple cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 orange, peeled (never juice with skin)
  • 1/2 medium cucumber
  • Shredded coconut for added sweetness (optional)

Instructions

Trim zucchini ends. Cut cabbage to fit juicer's feeding chute. Quarter apples (don't peel, but discard seeds). Roll kale leaves into balls. Remove any stray stems or leaves from berries. Peel orange thinly, discarding skin (leave as much of the white pith as possible, as this is nutrient-rich.) Peel cucumber only if waxed. Try to buy organic and unwaxed, as the skin is rich in nutrients. Add all the vegetables and fruit to your juicer or juice extractor and juice. For the best results, add kale leaves with the apples.
