For most brides, getting married means losing weight before the big day. Becky Hames had already planned on dropping a few pounds to fit into her dream dress. But it was a trip she took with her fiancé to Disney World that really got her moving. Hames was ordered off the line of a waterslide by a lifeguard who told her she could not go down because she was too fat. The girl lost 100 pounds and you HAVE to see her now!

"I didn't want to be a fat bride but the incident at Disney World just tipped me over the edge," she told BT. "That is when I felt the most down. They stopped me from going on a water slide because they said I was too big. It was horrible and so embarrassing having to walk back down in front of all those people." Pobrecita! I can't even imagine how mortified she must have been.
After the terrible incident, Hames found the motivation to finally do something about her weight. She originally weighed around 242 pounds and wore a size 24. She immediately changed her diet and after just 18 months lost 100 pounds. She was now able to squeeze into a size 12 wedding dress. How amazing is that?
She got married at Moor Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield and looked gorgeous! "My wedding dress even had to be taken in, I was beyond chuffed," she said. I felt amazing, I had never experienced feeling good in clothes and the first time I ever wore a dress was for my hen party. "When I saw the wedding picture I knew all the hard work was worth it. I still can't believe it is me."
And the good news doesn't end there. Hames plans on heading back to Disney World for her honeymoon so she can ride the slide she was banned from. "I am really looking forward to going to water parks and wearing a swimming costume without having to wear extra clothes to try to cover myself up." I couldn't be happier for her. It goes to show that sometimes a really bad experience can end up being life-changing!
