Chiquis Marin has been looking AMAZING lately! She's been slimmer than ever thanks to the help of Venezuelan actor-turned-celebrity weightloss coach, AlejandroChabán. It even landed her on the cover of People en Español's February 2014 issue. But after all these months how has Chiquis managed to keep the pounds off? Apparently by eating clean and juicing. Don't expect to catch Chiquis eating chocolates or white rice (her long-time favorite foods) anymore. No siree! These days she's stocking up on fruits and veggies and it's definitely paying off because check out how great she looks (picture posted below)! "Yes, I had a gordita in my heart, and she's still with me, but I finally told her, it's time for you to take a rest," she told People en Español earlier this year.
Chiquis has kept her promise of continuing with her challenge of living a healthier life and posted a picture of her "Slimming Citrus" smoothie today. She swears it helps her lose weight and shared the recipe on Instagram. I must say, it looks pretty delicious. Want to try it? Here's how you can make it yourself at home!
What you need:
- 2 cups of spinach
- 1/4 cup of grapefruit
- 1/2 orange
- 3 strawberries
- 1/2 cup of raspberries
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
- Water
What to do:
- Chop up the strawberries, grapefruit and orange first.
- Toss it all into a blender or Nutribullet along with the 2 cups of spinach, raspberries and water.
- Blend, then add one tablespoon of chia seeds.
- You want to make sure you let the chia seeds sit for at least 5 minutes before drinking it all, so that they become gel like. This will help you reap the most health benefits.
