I've never really been a person who sweats a lot (thank God). I could walk a marathon in 85 degree weather and not really perspire. In fact, the only time I really used to sweat was when I was hitting the gym–and I mean hitting it hard with cardio workouts. But this summer has been hot as hell and even I've been struggling with keeping the sweat off. How do you control this thing?

Unless I'm at the gym or taking a run in my neighborhood park, I'm really not a fan of sweating. Honestly, who is? But when it's this hot out how do you keep the mistiness from taking over? Here are a f__ew simple tricks to help you stay dry all summer!__
Watch your diet: You might find this hard to believe but certain foods can actually increase perspiration. Chill with the alcohol or caffeine, which can lead to excessive sweating. Also, stay away from foods and spices that contain strong odors like garlic or curry because they can come out through sweat.
Drink lots of water: Keep yourself cool and hydrated throughout the day by making sure to drink plenty of water. It also helps flush out any toxins in your system that might be causing you to sweat more than usual.
Exfoliate: The same way we need to exfoliate our faces we also need to scrub down our body and armpits. If you have super sensitive skin, try Buf-Puf Singles Sponges Oil-Free Pads In A Box ($5). You can keep them in your purse in case your start to sweat when you're out and about!
Wax: Apparently waxing your pits versus shaving keeps them a whole lot cleaner. Waxing helps decrease the amount you perspire and prevents the kind of buildup and gunk you could get from shaving. It's not for everybody, but if you're really struggling with sweaty underarms, it might be worth a try!
Use a good deodorant: It's hard to find a good deodorant that doesn't have aluminum or a bunch of other harmful chemicals these days. I've heard great things about Dr. Hauschka Deodorant Fresh Roll-On ($24). It's made of the purest ingredients and apparently works incredibly well even on men, thanks to the odor-reducing zinc ricinleate. Make sure you're applying deodorant before bed because a lot of us tend to sweat while we sleep.
