Teen Instagrams her recovery from anorexia & it’s inspirational!

Struggling with anorexia could be a very difficult and lonely journey, which is why one 18-year-old Swedish woman decided to finally fight back her disorder by documenting her progress on Instagram.Antonia Eriksson had gone down to 84 pounds (pictured here) back in 2012 before winding up in a hospital for two months.  Instagram wasn't just meant to keep her motivated to get healthy, but also to help others who are also suffering from the disease. You have to see how great she looks now!

Antonia's anorexia had got so out of hand, her heart and organs were shutting down. She had weak bones and her reflexes had stopped working too. "I had given up, and if I hadn't been admitted to the hospital then, I don't know if I would have survived another night. My weight was at 38 kg [about 84 pounds] the day I was admitted," she told The Daily Dot.

Her @eatmoveimprove Instagram account chronicles her impressive progress over the past 15 months. There are photos of everything from the hospital bed she laid in when she was admitted, to photos of her yummy healthy meals, and even pics of her working out in the gym. The girl has some biceps on her!

These days Antonia even has her own website (under the same name as her Instagram) where she promotes healthy lifestyles, provides information on Anorexia, and includes recipes and exercise regimes. Did I mention she's also sponsored now too? Yup by Fitness Guru and Vitamin Water just to name a few. Pretty impressive, right?

She's stronger, fitter, and healthier than ever, and even though she no longer suffers from anorexia she feels obligated to help her readers fight their own battles. "Today I don't see my account as an inspiration for recovery, but for being recovered and healthy, if you see the difference," she said. "Anorexia is part of my history and a disease I once had, but it does not define me as a person. Today I share my life, what I love to do, and who I am."

With so many women out there using Instagram just to show off sexy selfies & toned butts, it's refreshing to see someone who's doing it for such an important reason. To motivate herself to get healthy, but also to motivate others with similar struggles. We need more chicks like this on Instagram!
