As women we have a love-hate relationship with pubic hair and some of us are completely unsure where we stand. One person who is all for growing it out is surprisingly Cameron Diaz. The 41-year-old actress recently released her book titled The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body. In the book she dedicates a section called "In Praise of the Pubes" which encourages women to grow out their pubic hair.
This is surprising as Diaz expressed being against the all natural look in the past. So what does she have to say about pubic hair now?

In the chapter Diaz describes pubic hair as a lovely "curtain" that surrounds our "delicate flowers." She says as we get older we need pubic hair to protect the vagina and cover up its imperfections. She also explains that she is against laser hair removal and calls the process crazy.
Instead she says pubic hair is "mysterious", "sexy", and "enticing". Her new remarks are eyebrow raising as she seemed against keeping pubic hair in the past. During an interview in 2012 she mentioned her friend, Gwyneth Paltrow who rocks a 70's bush proudly. Diaz says that she and their other girlfriends asked her to trim it down because it was out of control.
Perhaps with age Diaz had a change of heart and understands why we as women should embrace our pubic hair as opposed to being against it. While some women choose to go all natural, a lot still adhere to societys standards of a bare bikini area. To each his own, but it's great to see that Diaz has an awesome self-help book out and wants to empower women everywhere.
