I'm cracking up (hahaha, pun intended!) over here because the health risks of thongs is apparently something people really worry about, yet I'm pretty sure no one wears thongs for health reasons.
Thong underwear is worn to avoid panty lines, to sport whale tale if you think that's cute, or 'cause you and probably your man, think they are sexy. I'm pretty sure no one ever went to their doctor and had a thong prescibed to cure anything. Still we should asses the health risks of this garment, I suppose. So how are thongs or G-strings, if you prefer, bad for you exactly?

The very first thing that came to mind for me was the risk of infection. Let's say the skinny part of your thong that's near your pompis gets germs on it that don't belong near your vagina and urethra, if that fabric manages to move a few inches, you could get an infection.
What I was surprised by is that thongs can cause skin tags along your thong line. What?! I do not like skin tags anywhere and I certainly don't want them down there. The skin tags form from skin being rubbed in the same spot repeatedly.
All in all, yes there are some health risks associated with thongs, but they are pretty safe in general. I'd say, if you are prone to infections in your genital area, stay away from them. Also, you might not want to wear them when you are doing sports as all that movement might make them floss back and forth and who needs that?
