5 Easy ways to make any hotel room healthier for your family

Summer is prime getaway season, which means you and your family will probably be spending a lot of time checking in and out of various hotels. And though traveling might be fun, living out of a suitcase and sleeping in a hotel bed is nowhere near as comfortable as being at home. Luckily, there are a few practices you can follow to make a hotel room a cleaner and safer environment for both you and your kids.

Get a non-smoking room

To ensure you and your kids will avoid any secondhand smoke, request that you reside on a nonsmoking floor or room when making your reservation. That way, you won't have to worry about when checking into the hotel!

Bring your own blanket

If you are flying somewhere and don't have space to put a blanket in your luggage, at least try to avoid using the comforter on the hotel. They often have a ton of dust hidden in them…or worse!

Stick to your exercise routine

It's vacation and you should enjoy it., but that doesn't give you an excuse to not stay active with your kids. If the hotel has a pool, go swimming or you can go for a walk or run around the premises.
