You can look fit without having slaved your time away at the gym the last few months. In fact, disguising your flaws is much easier than you would think! If you follow my advice, the last thing anyone will be looking at is your love handles. Trust me, I know what it's like to walk around in a bikini feeling like you need to cover up all the time.

But __you can fake a slim tummy with these helpful and sneaky tricks a__nd don't be surprised if you see heads turn at the beach!

Stand up straight: Remember all those times your abuela would tell you to not slouch, well she may have been onto to something. Slouching makes you look heavier and by standing up straight, not only will you make abuela happy, but you will look at least a few pounds slimmer.

Use that self-tanner: If you are planning on wearing a two-piece bathing suit, a tan will be your best friend. But here at MamasLatinas we're against skin cancer so we don't recommend you sit out in the sun for hours. Instead, we recommend you try a self-tanner that can safely add a little more color to your skin tone. A tan makes you look healthier and slimmer all over and that's a major plus!

Choose a shapewear bathing suit: If you're too shy to wear a two-piece, choose a cute one-piece that contains tummy control. In addition, choose a vertical pattern that draws attention away from your tummy and flatters a part of your body that you are proud of.

Avoid foods that cause bloat: Part of the reason we get bloated after we eat is because the digestion process has begun. If you intend on taking pictures while wearing your swimsuit, try to hold off on eating or stick to light snacks that are not high in fiber or salt. Salt causes you to retain water, and the fiber in certain vegetables and fruits will cause you to bloat and that's the last thing you need during a photo op!

Play up your favorite body part: If you love your legs show them off! Avoid clothes that focus on your tummy, but instead accentuate your favorite body parts whether they're your toned arms, legs, or shoulders. People will be too fixated on your hot assets to even notice your flaws.
