I like exercising, I don't do it as much as I should, but it's a part of my life. Some people exercise because they want to lose weight or build muscle. I do it because when I get older I want to be as strong as possible and have as much energy as possible. Fit older women are a huge inspiration to me, so it makes sense that I would be drawn to Joanna Rohrback, the creator of Prancercise: A Fitness Workout.
Have you heard of Prancercise? Even more importantly have you seen someone Prancercising? Oh, it's not to be missed!

"Prancercise is defined as: A springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse's gait and ideally induced by elation," according to its website. Sounds fun, right? But nowhere near as fun(ny) as it looks. You've got to see it in action to truly appreciate it.
Joanna has had a copyright on Prancercise since 1989, but a video that was recently posted on YouTube is what has been getting the innovative and liberating workout attention lately.
I find the video hilarious almost like a good (I said good) Saturday Night Live sketch. Joanna doesn't really give you instructions on how to do the workout, but she encourages you to "cut the noose and let loose" and says that it's "better to be punching into space than in your face." I can't argue with that.
I could see this turning into a huge craze. We all just need to grab some ankle weights, listen to jammin' tunes, and find some open space to get our prance on. I would advise against sporting a camel toe like Joanna does, I think no one very few people can get away with that.
Here is Joanna in all her Prancercise-induced glory!
